Is Getting new lore alongside his Gameplay Update? Maybe even a Voice Over Update? He along with and were the only ones that didn't get a full fledged Bio and Short Story in the Demacia update, which is unfortunate since I'm still super curious on Xin Zhao!

Along with that, has a taunt for him, mentioning how he can "die beside them, but you'll never be a Demacian!" Which sounds a lot like he's an Ionian that was saved by Demacia during the Noxian Invasion, which is interesting since Xin is not at all mentioned to be Ionian in his current lore (but let's face it, kinda expecting it).

Unless his lore changed, Xin is mentioned as being saved by Jarvan II, the granddaddy of J4, isn't he? I'm pretty sure that places Xin not only captured and in the Fleshing arena but also out of it before Ionia was invaded.

Ionia is kind of a reflection of Asian/Eurasian culture is it not? I thought that it was obvious that he was of Ionian descent, is he not in canonical lore? Let's face it, his name is even Ionian.

Most probably a lore update, but not VO update.

VO needs actors, and riot has not internal ones ( like most companies after all ) and needs to hire others from outside. This makes it hella costly, so i doubt that for a low scope change they will cash out so much.

In Xin Zhao's current lore, he was a gladiator forced to fight in the Fleshling, a Noxian Gladiatorial arena until Jarvan III intervened and snuck Xin out. So he wasn't saved by Demacia during the Ionian invasion, though its most likely hes from Ionia and that's how he ended up in the Fleshling after the Ionian invasion.

New lore would be lovely!

However, I wouldn't hold out hope too hard for a VO update. He'll likely (sadly) only get one of those once he gets a full VGU and that could be a long, long time from now.

Twitch and Singed didn't get anything new for the Zaun lore update, either.
