Well there's like...one more patch left in 2015 unless they want one going out literally two/three days before Christmas. In line with that if we don't see Poppy next week she's probably not coming out this year. I'm almost certain given how much she's being talked up we'll see her in that last patch, but I've been wrong before.

Noone knows for sure what this is, but it was on the PBE a few weeks ago after Illaoi's lines were leaked and before she was officially announced. It was right during the harrowing short stories.

Some believe it is Poppy's reworked VO. In a way that makes sense. It is comparable to Tristana's voice with a little more of Poppy's in-game tone to it.

The weird thing is its constant reference to "heroes" or a "hero". Since it was added to the announcer VO it is either for a new game mode, or it is a teaser for something like how Kindred gave random messages before their release. It might not be Poppy at all, but IMO it would make a really decent voice for her.

Since her rework is going to be Sion-level it is safe to assume that her lore will be considerably different, BUT it could also use some of her original lore as a base. Her original lore is already quite decent though so they could expand on it rather than remove it.

What if her job as ambassador of Bandle City was to seek out heroes to fight Noxus? Some sort of pre Noxus vs Demacia ingame event tying to Poppy's rework?

Did you watch the vid and listen to it or did you just look at the Garen that is a generic title card being used by the uploader and stopped at that?

Or if its the almost a differing opinion in the line but to really- thats because I mainly meant that a lot of people did not think it was her as opposed to the few that did originally. Half the people when this audio came out swore it was Illaoi.

Im still thinking that these lines are for an event tying in to her VU as well as a Noxus vs Demacia event. Swain just got updated splash art on the PBE so maybe they'll do a few minor VUs for both sides as well. Like Miss Fortune sized VUs.

Maybe some stats tuning to Swain, Galio, J4, Urgot, Sion, and Xin Zhao- maybe more- which could be more reasons why the Poppy update feels "late" to the others in this thread. It will probably be Harrowing update-sized with similar Lore updates. (The real harrowing update wasnt the stupid zombie slayer thing, it was the story published on the site blog and the Lore reworks for the Shadow Isles champs)

I listened to it, given the quotes it does make me think that may be Poppy's new voice with things like "I have a low center of gravity" and apparently the new Poppy is going to be looking for heroes?

I just deeply hope it's not Poppy's new voice, as it just doesn't sound right. I don't know what the issue is with getting the original VA's but I've hated just about every new voice they've put on every champion rework; Gangplank's change was by far the worst of all - his voice was freaking awesome.

I agree 100% with you on Gangplank's VO and Ill never quite forgive riot for not making Traditional Sion.

Gangplank's old VO was awesome IMO and since his rework was NOT truly Sion level I think he deserved the traditional skin even more given Riot's explanation for Sion.

Gonna miss that amazing laugh and /joke.

I also still dream (literally I do dream about it) sometimes playing Gangplank and still using his pre-rework E. I know just tacking another passive on him wasn't a real ability but I really loved his old E. The lack of a need for boots with a dragon3 was awesome and the bonus laning AD was too.

Also there's a hammer-wielding smurf in the deep wilds of SR's jungle that rarely makes an appearance to unfortunate toplaners. Only supports_** can**_ (read: wont) kill it with their meager damage and it cannot be burst damaged.

After a it finds a Lich Bane its hammer cuts HP in half.

I'm really feeling a reveal (or legitimate teaser) shortly after Illaoi goes live, which I predict will be within the next 2 or so weeks.

Poppy's relaunch, being treated in the same vein as Sion's, is being treated as entirely new champion launch. I don't think Riot want's Poppy to overshadow Illaoi's launch.

They did indeed say that. Can't remember where but I'm certain there won't be any more Traditional skins.

I personally wouldn't miss Poppy's current design. I mean it's not bad, its just.. a pig-tailed yordle wearing plate armor with a hammer and shield. I doubt her new design is going to stray far from that anyway, so a Traditional Poppy would just be redundant.

I slightly dislike how no ap on sheen, so I can't rush it, but in general the item changes were good because ghostblade is nice now and you can do some crazy shit. Also, the ms boost on dealing x% of an enemies health is perfect for poppy.

Ghostblade? It has no crit so I'm not sure I would really want to build that...

Although I would wonder if PD is still nice since it no longer works all the time.

You won't get much out of a crit build though, because kiting is her greatest weakness, and she doesn't need help doing dmg. She needs helps being able to catch up to do that dmg.

Crit items give move speed, and if your burst is high enough you don't get kited - enemies can't kite if they die to one Q.

5% ms doesn't do much, also they can just decide to run away if you charge toward them, and your ult ends a lot faster than people think.
