The video is recapping 2019 mostly, rather than telling 2020. There is only one reveal, which I'm not gonna spoil.

"In 2020 we're gonna continue to move the story forward and we are gonna use the opportunity of the release of Sett to go into Ionia. So you're gonna see a few different things happening in Ionia in 2020 including the Zed comics." More Ionia. Yay.

Cool, no lore for Bandle City... AGAIN.

COME ON RIOT!!

Like Seriously... Its great that they are expanding the lore of Runeterra and all but...

BANDLE CITY IS NOT PART OF RUNETERRA

Does that mean that they will keep ignoring it?

So let's see..... Bandle and Ixtal will still be underdeveloped Shurima's plotline will get ignored again

But hey let's give Ionia even more content. Yey /s

Gotta admit, not too pleased with the fact that Ionia is getting alot of attention again. This region is overrepresented as hell in my opinion...

We are going to get the... I think it is the 19th champion for Ionia? Meanwhile we still have regions which are in the range of single digits: Piltover, Void, Bandle City... we really could use more releases from there and I hope we will get them.

Also Ionia has been in the spotlight for the lore alot already. When Meddler told me that they are going to take a break from Ionia with 2019, I should have known that they are going to continue spamming this region right with the start of 2020....

I'm so stoked for those 'Tales of Runeterra' shorts. Every episode focusing on a few champs from a different region can be a really fun way to flesh out the world. I'm not even much of an Ionia guy but I'm looking forward to the Shen/Akali episode they teased, just to get a feel of the structure they're going for. Can't wait to see more

To be honest, disappointed by this video. We got no information on upcoming comics or novellas. All we got is information that we will get short lore cinematics and that is wonderful but that, along with the Tellstones, is pretty much it.... I wished to see more on the narrative plans for 2020 but we got nothing...

Ionia? No thanks. Yordles please.

Tale of looks nice still. Always good to see that kind of stuff and look forward to Arcane.

Ionia is one of my favorite regions. Shen, Akali, Zed, Jhin, and Kayn are favored champions of mine. I am DELIGHTED that we're getting an Ionia cinematic along with the Zed comic.

But it's entirely inappropriate, and despite how delighted I personally am, I recognize how out-of-place and unnecessary these developments are.

Seriously, HOW long has Bandle City been waiting for lore? How little have we been told about Ixtal and even Shurima? I would so much rather see development for these regions. If you wanted to take the Ionian approach, as seems to be priority, then why not feature more of Kennen? Why not develop at least SOME Yordle lore through him being in the Kinkou, and therefore his involvement with Ionia? I don't really think this video was necessary (not much new information), and as much as I love what's gonna happen, I think it's totally unnecessary. The time and resources going into Ionia's development should be allocated to Bandle City above all else.

So pretty much they said nothing except new animated shorts here and there.

Oh great! More lore from Ionia a.k.a Weebland! /s

Well, that's a shame. Why Ionia?

There are more regions and champions that need lore. Such as the place where gragas comes from, the land beyond Freljord and champions like Cho'gath, Trundle and Kog'maw.

Guess I could only hope one of those cinematics feature atleast one of these champs.

While this is a bit disappointing (mostly talking about things we already), I'm just going to assume they have more content than what is mentioned here on the way.

The Tales of Runeterra sounds great! Animated cinematic short about the various characters & place around Runeterra. My hope for this is the same as with Riot Forge. Don't just use these on popular champs/regions who already have plenty of lore content. Make sure to other champs/regions lacking on the lore side or who haven't gotten anything in a while get some love too. Regions like Targon, Bandle City, Ixtal for example or champs like Talon, Quinn, Kindred or Bard for example.

About the teaser for the Shen & Akali short. Sucks a bit that short is not only about Ionia, which is already getting quite a bit of content this year. But it's about Ionia champs who are already making significant appearances in the Zed comic. What about Ionia champs like Syndra, Varus, Wukong, Yi, etc? But I get it. It's the 1st short, so they want to use relatively popular, established (lore wise) champs to advertise to market "Tales of Runeterra". It might not be the 1st one & it might not be the only Ionian short this years. P.S. - I know the teaser wouldn't show everything. But if they're making a short about Shen & Akali, I hope they won't leave out Kennen.

The Table Top game is whatever.

They still haven't revealed what the comic series following Zed's would be about. I wonder what champ & region it will cover.

Very sad by how little new information was given. And lack of Yordles is disappointing. I don't want tons of spoilers for lore, but right now it looks to be the year of Ionia which means more of the stuff we've had a lot of already. I am excited to finish the Zed comic, but that's about all I need from Ionia at this point. I'd much rather see more from Bandle City and Noxus who would make a great counterbalance to what we've explored in Demacia and Ionia already.

All my favorite champs are from Ionia. I'm so hyped for this year!
