Well, in the old lore, humans with a lot of magic had pointy ears, same reason why Janna had those.
That's why he needs a VGU someday. I would say that elf ears should be exclusive to good spirits and demons like a good spirit champ called janna. I can see morg's VGU doesn't have elf ears in the future.
