Leona has Banana Peel Armour!
Leona is a charming character and I enjoy her a lot on many aesthetic levels; this isn't even about "bad female character design" or anything; she's not at all sexualized, there's just some lady-fine-dress-elements that competes with her armoured-paladin-theme in the wrong way. Her armour is just.. a little bit silly.
If she got a model update, I think giving her a solid breastplate and less floaty-and-bendy armour-pieces would be ideal. Give her shoulder-pieces a more interesting shape. Give that butt-dress some design, replace some of that wine-coloured body-suit with armor-plate and get rid of those heels. Put some layers and overlap on the armour. Some gold areas that aren't stiff enough to be metal might be better of by introducing some other material, which might be good for the colour-scheme of the design either way.
On a personal note, I think it'd be interesting to explore a roman-armour-look for Leona, as well as trying some corinthian-esque patterns on parts of her armour, which is somewhat plain now. That'd be an interesting angle on the greco-roman influences Targon seem to be going for, as well as accentuating her "idolized paragon"-position with fancier armour.
What do you think, other design-preoccupied-forum-lurkers? What do you agree or disagree with, what do you think should happen to Leona's design, what don't you think should happen? Where would you put Leona in the VU priority-que, if at all, and with what scope?
