If Vastayans are in Ionia, it may explain Warwick's Origins.

So we all know that Singed was turning Warwick into a Chimera, as per Riot's new lore. So where did he get the idea? This is a guy who deals in chemicals... He was present in the Noxian Invasion of Ionia (if it hasn't been retconned) and so he may have come in contact with the Vastayans. If this is the case, he may have wanted to replicate them in the traditional mad, Zaunite, fashion. Warwick was Singed's experiment to test the bounds of the Vastayan form.

Thoughts?

EDIT: Special thanks to Morgarl in the comments for pointing out that Singed wants immortality and Vastayans live long enough to be believed to be immortal, and Singed might have used Warwick to test that theory.

With the fact that it's mentioned vatayans may be immortal in some instances, and Singed's quest for immortality. It would seem quite likely.

He's more implying Singed's experiments on Warwick might've been inspired by the vastaya, and he wanted to make something similar, at least in form, via chemtech.

Yes, that is the idea. Warwick is not Vastayan but maybe singed made him in their image, or out of curiosity

He does specifically mention learning some surgical technique in the Ionian campaign (Engineering the Nightmare), so that sounds pretty canon.

What if Warwick is actually partially vastayan? If for example Warwicks great great grandfather was a vastaryan and the rest was human,then it is possible that he simply lacked the abilities of the vastayan(or never realized them).

And Singed did speak of a beast within Warwick,so that would be rather fitting.

As interesting as that would be, I'm pretty sure he meant metaphorically given the context. I'm fairly sure that all animal traits Warwick had were spliced into him by singed, and he was just a normal guy before.

Now I see Warwick as similar to Orianna: a man made creation made to emulate a natural being, but still very different. Warwick may not be aware of it, (nor would he really care,) but I wonder if any Vastayan recognizes what Warwick may have been intended to be. How do they view him in that context?

Warwick was a regular man, i havent read his newest lore but i know he was a regular man from his voice lines, he always references his "former self" or "the man you knew is dead, all thats left is warwick"

I thought warwicks lore was that he was a "collector" of humans for mad doctors to experiment, and he needed to get stronger/overall better to keep up with his quota, so he drank singed experimental incomplete elixir of strength and he turned into werewolf man?

She was a Fox that wanted to be human and so she drank their souls to become more like them; the irony was that the more she killed to become human, the less human she became, so she tried to only do it to criminals iirc.

She's still like that so far, that hasn't changed, but now they have a word for part humanoid and part animal; it's called Vastayan.

Vastaya are all races that share chimeric natures, but were fused with the chimeric natures through magical means. It is not specified what magicks would make you a vastaya, but if all types of magicks are considered than a lot of champions (nearly all animalistic champions) can be considered races, sub-races, special individual vastaya.

soraka is a dryad in warwicks old lore he needed a dryad heart for singed/victor (cant remember which) to help him become the most efficient bounty hunter, he hired 3 people to attack him and soraka protected him by harming the men who were "attacking" him and lost a good fair bit of her powers. in return warwick attacked her and she used her powers to turn him into what he is today. ( talked about in scope of pre rework.

She was a celestial being ( like Bard and AurelionSol ),which has fallen from grace,because she used her power to harm. Currently it's not know what she is. 's quote to her implies something unique "Twinkle, twinkle, little star, do you wonder what you are?" New Warwick does have the quote "Eat your heart out." towards her,which refers to their old lore,but it's not known if it will be still be canon in some way or if it's just a part of the old lore.

rengar is from the kumungu jungles not ionia if anyone from kumungu jungles would be vastayan it would be nidalee since she can transform like the human/pig vastaya ont he universe page.

There are vastaya with strong animal characteristics on the universe page too, looking pretty similar to rengar.

As far as we know, there are 3 Types of vastaya.

Strong animal characteristics (like rengar, wukong)
Human looking with some animal features (like ahri)
Shape shifters (like nidalee)

True, but there are two things that still support the idea Rengar is a Vastayan.

*Vastayans are known to live in places other than Ionia. (Ionia is just the origination point)

*We don't know if the Kumungu jungle still exists.
