Hey Narrative/Rework Guys, are Skarner's Crystal Spires related to the Arachia?

So for those who didn't get the memo, Skarner (along with Darius, Garen and Mordekaiser) are all getting kit reworks, and Skarner's is a bit different to the rest. His old passive has been reworked in to Fracture and his new passive is Crystal Spires, which put six crystals on the map that Skarner gets buffs from.

Now I'm asking about them from a lore stand point because I'm wondering if they're anything at all like the Arachia from Skarner's old lore. The Brackern used to bind with the crystals known as Arachia and gain power from them as a result. The same kinda deal seems to be working here. So do the Brackern (If they're still a thing in the new canon) work with these crystals spires the same way or at least similarly to the Arachia in the old canon? Are these actually just Arachia but they're called Crystal Spires to match with the crystal motif or something? Just wondering.

I'm fairly confident Skarner's new place in the canon is that he's now a proactive guard for the Brackern while they hibernate, but the new passive got me thinking so I wanted to ask about it. Makes me curious as to how the Brackern (if they're still a thing) work with the crystals now. This might all get revealed when Skarner's short story gets released but hell, I was curious so might as well ask now while I'm thinking heavily on it.
