Reborn Promo - How It Affect the Lore of LoL imo

First of all, thank you so much for this new opportunity, @Riot Opeli and @Riot Parrot.

After the Reborn Promo, I believe that this is how things will be in the oficial lore:

-> Shurima again ascended as an empire. Azir and Sivir being very important in Shurima relationships.

-> Demacia lose their King Jarvan III Jarvan II. They need changes, they need to show that even with their king death they are powerful and still are the "DEMACIAAA".

-> Noxus, knowing this great loss (a powerful warrior who died in glory), prepares for a battle of epic proportions against Demacia. But for such a battle they, who believe that strong is everything, will use anything they could to win this battle, even if they need bring back people from the dead, maybe more than one person...

In the south, Xerath, an arrogant and megalomaniac wizard, was released after a thousand years and intends to subjugate the entire world...

To the north, an ancient queen hides in shadows intending to bring winter to the world...

Yordles, Trolls, Humans, Ursines... this epic battle will impact on everyone life...

This is my theory about the new "lore". =p

I'm more inclined to believe they are talking about J2, the events seem to have happened a bit in the past

Yeah, these next few days are going to be a bit of backstory leading up to the current timeline in League. Someone will probably be #reborn after all is said and done, but what do I know.

Theory - The Jarvan mentioned in the Reborn promo is King Jarvan the First.

The layout of the promo site is: GLORY > FALL > RISE > REBORN

I believe, what we're seeing right now from this GLORY promo is Nox/Demaci history. The two must have been at odds for ages and it was only a matter of time before it reached a breaking point.

In this past, Sion was the Legendary Warrior General of Noxus. He was responsible for making Demacia the weakest it had ever been, which leads directly to the events that should be explored in the FALL promo. In this case, it would explore the fall of Demacia or at least, the fall of a very large part of Demacian-controlled areas. A prolonged Noxian invasion of Ionia could also happen during this era.

Generations pass, Noxus grows weak from complacence. In is in this age that the RISE promo story occurs, chronicling Demacia's return to power. It is in this age that we first see champions of Demacia such as Jarvan III, Marcus Crownguard (Garen/Lux's father) and a young Xin Zhao, heralds of the new invigorated Demacia. Even with an undead Sion, Noxus is no match for Demacia's renewed resolve.

Present day is where the REBORN story takes place, with the Azir events happening simultaneously. Since their defeat in the RISE story, Noxus undergoes change, most notable of which is their interpretation of strength. Swain rises to power with the help of the Black Rose and ensures Noxus has a variety of local and foreign strengths such as the Blood Brothers and Assassins of House Du Couteau for Noxus and Zaunite expertise from the likes of Singed, Warwick, Dr. Mundo.

Concerns - But that's impossible! Your theory doesn't make sense because LeBlanc exists in the GLORY promo!

Actually, that doesn't diminish the value of this theory. Part of LeBlanc's lore states that many have gone by the name "LeBlanc" for the Black Rose, and though the person changes with the generations, their role does not.

LeBlanc, a guiding hand for Noxus that works from the Shadows; Petal, the unassuming public image/figure head; Thorn, the blade that ensures their secrets stay secret. This way, modern day LeBlanc is... well LeBlanc; Swain is the modern day Petal, having assumed leadership of Noxus and essentially becoming the public face for the Black Rose; Talon and House Du Couteau represent Thorn.

It seens very likely that the Jarvan in question was Jarvan I or II. Killing off Jarvan III would be too bold a move, specially right now, where we still weren't told exactly the state of Runeterra post-reboot.

I'm probably alone in this but I believe that it is the first Jarvan

I'm waiting for that moment when Garen and Katarina put their alliances aside to work together and save the world from the Voidborn and bring down the Black Rose. XD Come on, you know you want to see Garen throw his sword to the ground and dare Kat to attack him, just for her to go "Dammit, Garen, raise your sword."

^ That's how you negotiate with a rival

It's yet to be confirmed within the new lore (outside of maybe Vel'Koz), but there's also the creatures of the Void just about ready to burst out into Runeterra.

Also the Shadow Isles getting ready to do...something. Idk, This might wait to be fleshed out once Mordekaiser gets his turn at the VU game.

Runeterra is kind of screwed on literally all fronts. If Champions lacked a reason to fight one another with the retconning of the IoW, I think they surely have a reason now.

The fact that you refer to xerath in that manner has me disappointed. mostly in riot. they still don't have my trust on that.

sion update incoming? :D

Leblanc Involvement I am interested.

For Thorn and Petal, if we assume it's code name for important Black Rose member, and that they are related to leblanc in her champion page, maybe Thorn is Swain (who seems to don't trust Darkwill as Noxus leader) and Petal is Elise (know stuff about culte and shadow island)

Don't forget about the now free voidborn. You know, the creatures of horror and terror that evolve and change as they eat. The monsters that two madmen claim to be coming to runeterra in full force and plan to bring their own visions of Hell to life.

I, myself, was wondering which Jarvan was killed and when this death of Sion was supposed to have occurred. The new story certainly gives his death more more meaning than the original and it so far hasn't really changed anything for the worse. We'll see what happens next.

Remember, after he was reanimated, Noxus assigned him to fight in the League of Legends, where he could not be killed or destroyed (Since League Champs never actually die). That said, if there is No League of Legends, then the next part of the story should give us insight into what Riot is planning for the world.
