Lol why the downvotes.

As others said, it was changed to be "stained" from her mother's blood. However in the new comic, you can see MF having a flashback and her hair looks naturally red, not dripping with blood.

I think its just a metaphor and body really knows what is what tbh.

She originally was a pure redhead before they updated the lore during the Bilgewater event.
