Just making a post about the new Viktor walk animation. Not a fan and I'm curious on other people's opinion on it. In my opinion it looks like Pre re-worked Swain's walk animation, but that animation got removed. It's also only supposed to be for the base skin as said in patch notes, but its on his Prototype skin. I personally like his base skin the most and prototype second, but this animation makes me want to play someone else. I really don't like it, so I have to use Deathsworn which I don't like, or Creator which I like even less. Don't really know why the problem was with his previous one :( Just looking for opinions and discussion :)

No, it's meant for all his skins before he purchases boots.

If you have a problem with it, rush boots. His old run animation looked like slow-mo at base run speed.

First off, the patch note literally read "(currently base skin only)," and I pointed out that this wasn't true. Secondly, why would I build incorrectly to change the way my champion looks? The solution to the change is to compromise my build order? What's the point of playing the champ then, just find a new champ that don't dislike looking at and build them normally. The old animation looked natural, it looked clean. Now Viktor is an Augmented Genius with a gimped leg... that is until he buys the freshest J's from Walmart? Doing a 180 drags the staff on the floor, does that seem normal? In my opinion his old animation looked like he was jogging, and as you get more movespeed he runs faster. This looks so much cleaner than him hobbling around everywhere with a limp. He's enhanced not impaired.

He doesn't look like he's limping to me.

Viktor appears to be using his cane similarly to the way Jhin uses his in the lore; To announce his presence and show power. Neither need to use their cane to walk, but they choose to because it makes an impression.
