Point of League: The Battle

Okay, so I made a thread a few days back asking about why do some champs even exist in the League of Legends, considering they had no point in joining. I learned about the retcon, where it's League without League; where the Institute of War, and a lot of the basic foundation that established a purpose of the game, some of the champions, and even the players themselves in a sort of meta way.

Now, considering that the retcon will drastically change all this (But why even keep the map's title of Summoner's Rift? I digress), my question is, what is bringing all these champs together into one fight? There's no League (lore-wise) that brings them together, so with that lore gone, there's no reason for rivals (say and ) to be in the same team, or certain champs in general (like ) to exist.

The game will take from the lore, but not give to the lore. As far as the lore is concerned, there isn't a game.

So there is no point to learn lore, cause it have nothing to do with the game.

Well, you could enjoy the lore as it might be good lore in its own right, but indeed.

I don't see anything good in LoL lore that I could enjoy. It's nothing fresh (for me). Narrative team have read too many comics and all I see is rip off of something that was already show to us somewhere else and in better way. They should have hire someone who was rised on books instead. So many years have passed and Riot still build their lores to Champs around overrated mystery and plots that never truly develop or if they does, then those are little steps after few years of waiting.

So if they are going to keep this up and the game won't have any connection to lore, then I won't have any reason to follow it.

And we know very well that most of current LoL players don't care about lore.
