And it perplexes me. Pretty odd thing to drop right at the start of a new cycle with no context, given the nature of the art shown right?

  4. Well I want too. It is something we've been looking at for longer than I've been at riot. A lot of the promo's have been test runs for this sort of media. (Seeing what people like) Text has an advantage currently for my department as it has the lowest tech and art needs.

Which was something WAAARGHbobo talked about in regards to Jhin a few months back. For those who don't remember or haven't read yet, Jhin's heading to Zaun for a...performance.

Sod if I know what this really is, but It just came out of the blue so I'm just scratching my head in bewilderment. Thoughts my fellow summoners?

Maybe. Such weird timing for an icon like this. I'd expect a pool party summoner icon or two, not a Piltover's Finest one. Makes me wonder what'll be coming when this cycle concludes.

I dunno why they'd choose two specific champions and not some sort of iconography for that though.

That's fine too, just I'm perplexed by the weird timing of this. Generally summoner icons coincide with the release of other stuff, yet there's been nothing for Piltover's Finest in a long time that would warrant such an icon seemingly.

Hmm I dunno, they have released random icons at times that don't really go alone with anything. It might not even come out right away, since there have been icons, wards, skins, ect that sit on the PBE for awhile before they get released.

When did they eveer release icons without anything else? Whenever they released a new icon it was because they released something else as well(icons for skin lines,game modes,Pentakill-albumSR-update,LCS or the teambuilder for example)

I more or less meant the content as it appears on the PBE. Some things get released there that don't appear to be linked to anything then something else comes out afterwards, i.e the Pentakill icon/Pentakill album. In 2014 they made a bunch of Poro party/celebration icons that never saw the light of day.

This might be another lore update for Zaun/Piltover. They might release the new champion with the update like they did with Sol and Tali

yeah I also think this might be stuff from an upcoming event popping up. I mean the new gamemode that is currently in testing seems to be heavily hextech-inspired and now we get an icon for 2 piltovian champs(and have already that info about jhin),it seems to add up quite a bit.

I think it's for the next champion. We haven't had a Piltoverian? Piltoverer? Piltoverist? Champion in a while, and it makes sense from a lore wise point of view too. Jhin is headed there, Shen and Zed on his trail, and Graves and Twisted Fate were also going to go there to get Graves a new gun.

If i recall correctly the right term is Piltovian, but yeah, we haven't had a new champ from Piltover for quite some time.

When I first saw this I for sure thought it was Caitlyn. I'm thinking its the ambient pink lighting that gives it that hue.

I personally don't think that's Caitlyn's glove... Looks like Mafia Jinx's... Maybe it's just the lighting which makes it look pink insted of brown... idk :s

yea jinx doesn't have those fingerless pinkish purplish gloves, hers are black and on her wrist not hand Jinx [slayer-jinx-catface] see. black.

well i strongly believe it would make more sense if it was jinx and vi since this icon was made for the Latin servers and since vi and jinx are Latin/Roman numbers Vi - 6 Jinx - 10 it is more likely. also if you notice the thumb has pink nail polish , Caitlyn only wears black polish. jinx wore pink and blue in her pool party reveal. and look at this old concept of jinx where she had pink gloves (or purple ) http://pm1.narvii.com/5758/a2470e40d93eb2d66686427536d116552a08ad5e_hq.jpg
