Please support this by upvoting this thread

is the only one left to have his classic splash art outdated and i wish riot could change/update his splash art. Knowingly that varus just received a new splash and even his old splash is up to date, it makes me question myself if riot still care/love skarner. Don't argue with me about xin and irelia because xin is indeed gonna get a new splash art while irelia is the next VGU candidate after swain, meaning, she'll get new splashes.

Ideas for a skarner splash art: (note:The sketches is not mine)

I choose the one in the middle right, because it shows the character of skarner very much. Specially, his tail circling around the gem stone.

Fizz Leona Nautilus Hecarim Are the worst offenders and whose VGU is not even remotely on the horizon so I see absolutely no reason why an art update shouldn't be encouraged. Unfortunately updating skin splash art for champions who've had past visual updates already seems to take up most of the illustration team's priority and capability.

Leona's is so old, seeing her regular splash compared to most current splashes makes me cringe. Riot should take some time updating some of the old splashes, asap .... I would pay to see my main get some love.

At one point a couple years back they went around updating a TON of splashes, but the majority of them were skins. I was so confused at this. I was like "Yeah these are cool but what about the classic splashes that NEED an update"

I think you're talking about when the chinese splash arts and the rest of the world's splash arts were merged together. In that case, no new illustrations were made, they just sifted through the chinese splash arts to replace anything that looked super old.

Lux, Elise, Brand, Diana, LB, MF, Soraka, Vlad, Lulu, and Zyra's are all just fine despite some being fairly old.

Lux's forehead, MF , Zyra, and LB have a weird old, grainy feel in their splash, and Lulu just looks hideous

Skarner needs a rework. Be patient and wait for that.

yes he needs it but that rework will take years before production and skarner is in need of a new splash now. Maybe a placeholder like xin will do.

I could wait until his VGU but I agree with you on the pose and style that the splash art should take on.

It should show him as a fearsome creature yes, but as a protector and somebody who is actively on a mission to save his beloved species and crystals.

it is hard to get lvl 7 mastery in high elo that's why they troll so they can play with bronze 5 to get mastery lvls faster

I'd rather have a VU/VGU faster and then get a new splash than just trying to sugarcoat his horrenduous visuals. And besides the one you pointed out, they kinda feel about as bland as his current one. The execution is good but there isn't much to say about them.

They said it would be sometime after his update, which has happened. Varus currently has a new one on the PBE, MF is still getting worked on but they didn't say anything about the progress on Xin yet.

MF doesnt need a new splash they should switch her classic skin to Capt MF

Her base isn't getting one but her skins are, and no, Capt MF is NOT who MF is. That's what she would be if she were a Captain, but she's a Bounty Hunter.

pretty sure Capt MF is her after the Bilgwater event, a bounty hunter can still be a capt

A lot of champions from his time have the same splash arts and personally i don't think they are too bad and need an update asap. It can wait a little longer, but it would be nice to get splash art updates for the 2011-2012 champs
