Never mind the Voodoo Lands. Wouldn't it make so much sense for Annie to have come from a circus?

is a unique character in the roster, which certainly is her appeal; however, lore-wise it kind of makes it hard for her to fit thematically into the world.

Her supposed home turf, the Voodo Lands, have never been established, really. From the name only, "Voodoo Lands" doesn't even make sense as the home of a sorcerer lolita girl with pink cat-ears and a backpack. It seems just randomly slapped on without a good reason.

Wouldn't a background at a cirkus be a much better fit for the little girl? Her clothes, bear and demeanor would make a lot of sense in a circus setting. I'd love to see what a magical Runeterran circus looks like. Annie would make so much sense as a runaway circus kid.

Edit: Come to think of it, aren't there a bunch of old champions that seem kind of circus-inspired? Maybe a circus was a think during early development that they didn't go through with. comes to mind.
