The Ruined King

Hello fellow summoners. Today, I want to start a discussion on the famous Ruined King of the Shadow Isles. Yes, there have been some threads about his potential identity, but here I want us to present different theories that are plausible. Also, could we finally get a Shadow Isles marksman? Only that spot needs to be filled, since all of the other roles are pretty much filled. And if so, could he be a marksman, probably wielding both a sword and a ranged weapon (working similarly like Jinx's Q). Let the discussion begin! :)

Pretty sure the Ruined King is Draven-

Oh, wait. No. He's just the regular King Draven

The Ruined King,...I still wonder if he turned into an undead or a ghost. THe spirits on the altar(the west altar) Gives it out that he is undead and is active. Boy all this for Sion's Rework, how about you guys start with the story telling like u said a month ago..... The Ruined King made a critical choice without thinking about what would happen.. He must be that king from Dark Souls Now

Well whoever he is he's dead since the new Sion says "This is not the first dead king's weapon I've taken" when he buys a BotRK

Ranged and melee is already filled by the likes of Gangplank and Jayce, so how about a different niche

But, lore wise, I would like to think that after everything went wrong and the Shadow Isles became the way it is...that The Ruined King didn't come first, but MordekaiserMordekaiser .

I'll quote his current lore.

"Mordekaiser is a being of pure, living agony on a mysterious dread quest. It is said that he was the first of the undead, existing before the Shadow Isles were a whispered threat. His true name and past lost to history, "

What if Mordekaiser resurrected the Ruined King? Could it not be possible since Mordo's R lets him control the souls of others? What if Mordo brought back the ruined king to control all of the Shadow Isles, and RK happens to be very displeased and wishes to consume the land in darkness. If that's the case, then despite their friendship, it would explain why HecarimHecarim gets the message from the West Alter saying, "Be careful Hecarim. Mordekaiser is not to be trusted." Maybe because Heca works for the Ruined King who is actually being controlled and manipulated by the Master of Metal himself? Huh? Huh?

About the marksman: I doubt riot creates champs with a certain role in mind just to give a faction a certain role.

I mean what kind of champ would the marksman be?Just a dude with a ranged and a melee weapon won't make him unique,I mean we have already jayce doing that.

I think that BORK was originally meant to be a reference to a DOTA character, Wraith King, or Skeleton King as called by older fans.

Although yes, it would be nice to see a legitimate Shadow Isles marksman, instead of just building AD Thresh.
