What form did Setaka take?

As most of the lore geeks like me already know, Setaka was the Ascended Warrior Queen. What we don't know is what form had she taken? Azir resembles Ra/Horus, Renekton Sobek and Nasus Anubis.

It would also be cool to have 1 female Ascended champion in the game and she would be perfect for it. RIOT, make it happen pls!

So, was she catlike like Bastet? http://img12.deviantart.net/2f0d/i/2011/364/5/8/bastet_by_kaizerin-d2724cj.png

Or perhaps she was like some other goddess? I think she was catlike because Bastet is one of the most recognizable goddesses in Egypt along with Anubis, Ra, Sobek, Set and Osiris.

EDIT: As some of you pointed out, she can also be influenced by Sekhmet who was warlike, it makes more sense, though a lion is still a cat. Kinda. xD https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/003/608/404/large/david-sanhueza-game-o-gami-immortal-sekhmet4.jpg?1475554090

Setaka took the form of a swan, because a swan is a BETTER DUCK. Trust me.

I imagined her as a lion, after Sehkmet, who was also a female warrior.

My personal headcanon is also cat/lion-like, since she is probably, as you mentioned, inspired by Bastet.

Serket is way underappreciated.

From "warrior queen"(if that's a quote from lore), it would be most likely Sekhmet who is a warrior and healing goddess. With that being said "lion goddess+warrior+healing+hunter" is a little to close to Nidalee. There are many Cat/lion goddesses, Bastet, tefnut, ammut, and sometimes mut Other goddesses are Mut- vulture Hathor- cow Isis- No animal form Serket- Scorpion(my personal favorite) Ma'at- ostrich Nephythys- baskets

OMG!! We need a Sphinx Cat like Ascended Champion!! Who's with me ? :D because a lion look kinda looks like rengar so why not a sphynx cat, so unique and not like an ordinary cat with fur

It's an old post I know, but Cassiopia is an ascended

There's also Hathor, an older goddess who had a cow's head who's horns held the sun disk, which far preceded Ra. She was mostly a goddess of fertility, dance, festivity, and motherhood. Even though she wasn't warlike, an Ascended like her would make a ton of sense as a queen.

Keep in mind that egypt gods didn't exist in the lore of lol,so I think that technically an ascended can look like any animal-human hybrid, even something absurd as a giraffe ascended might have existed.

The only reason why we are only getting ascended champs based on gods is because they are the most recognizeable and thematically fitting, but there is no reason for riot to stick with the egyptian gods when it comes to background characters.

After all it would be kind of a waste to make an ascended based on Bastet and leave her as a background NPC who already died long ago.

Make her an Elephant or something unique. She can be anything honestly just please no more felines we have Rengar and now Yuumi.

Yeah she had a lion helmet on, but Riot could easily explain that away in the lore. (It belonged to a fallen companion, she wears it because it's more ferocious than the animal form she takes on, she just likes cats) Forgodssakes don't make her a lion

I've always felt Osiris' Position and his then Connection to Isis and the simple to recall imagery of a winged woman Made Isis the prototypical Female Egyptian god. Though we've come quite a ways in the past few decades where once Esoteric knowledge of non Greek/Roman Mythos has really exploded Culturally.

I can't think of any other animal that seems as fitting for her so I guess you're right

Jaspers7/20/2017, 1:06:53 PM1 votes

What about Sekhmet who was a lion? She was the goddess of fire and war. Fits better than Bast in the idea of a Warrior Queen.

Although, their forms/purpose don't replicate their Egyptian counterparts.

She would not be a cat, cause if she would be cat, she would chase every cross-blade that she threw :)
