My view of this so-called "lore" team.

I made this post a few hours ago, but it has been wandering here-and-there, yet, this is the perfect board to post. Here it is: I expected so much more, but alas, it is the lore team who never delivered. They started really good with those two videos, and I expected epilogue to be something epic. Yet, we've got one poorly written paragraph, giving us almost no new info, and the worst part is what they have done with Sivir. Who would want to be a mercenary when you can be a freaking Empress of the whole Shurima. I mean come on, seriously? That dude just saved your life, brought you back from the dead sort to speak and you want to be a mercenary again? Sorry but that just doesn't seem right. I was really looking forward to this new lore, their re-imagining, but in the end, they didn't improve at all. They still don't know how to write a good story, they think that leaving it open is good. Well no, it is not good every single time with every single event that you make. Shadow Isles - Not revealing who The Ruined King was, what happened to The Shadow Isles, roles of champions associated with it... Freljord - completely unresolved. Shurima - let's establish a great story and then ruin it completely by some epilogue which my 9 year old sister could write better. Once again, you've failed, "lore" team. Just hire me and let me show you how it is done. This is not the way to earn our trust.

To be fair (devil's advocate), the idea is to not reveal things right away. Would kind of defeat the purpose of saying "We are going to tell new stories" and then give us everything in the first week.

That said, I am really curious as to whats up with the Freljord. If they were going with "Never ending Civil War lol" they could have said that.

Yeah the epilogue felt kinda rushed. Too bad, the 2nd video got me really hyped

Perhaps Sivir doesn't like positions of authority and values her freedom over power. You can't use characters in your own context, try and see them from their own eyes.

I admit the last paragraph was poorly written, but keep in mind they have to translate to quite a few languages, having it well written in each one is pressing. Also, I'd love to see some of your work to compare with the lore team!

I was really disappointed with the lack of a third video for the Shurima event. It feels incredibly unresolved, and while that in and of itself might work, the way it came across left me feeling extremely let down. I'd like to see how the other major powers in Runeterra are responding to the sudden revival of Shurima. The "Reborn" promo looks quite interesting, but I don't want Shurima's lack of resolution to go unnoticed for very long.
