Why Does Xayah Hate Nami?

I couldn't find any lore regarding the connection between Xayah and Nami (moreso I didn't look deep enough, just skimmed the surfaces [no pun intended]), but Xayah has three quotes towards Nami whenever she dies that makes it seem like there's a long history between them.

Xayah "We asked you to join." Xayah "Shame. You could have been so useful alive." Xayah "It needed to be done."

That last quote is what really peaks my interest; why did Nami NEED to die?

Does anyone know the history between Xayah and Nami?

I mean, from the quotes alone it seems to be pretty straightforward. Xayah requested Nami to join her cause, Nami said no, Xayah is hung about that.

Xayah is somewhat an extremist, so it's possible she has a "Either you're with me or agaisnt me" attitude.

I think no oficial data has been given about this, but i wouldn't be surprised that for Xayah, that is an extremist, Nami had to die just because she didn't want to join them as she was looking for Diana. Xayah probably feared that the tidecaller joined the Humans and abandoned the Vastaya

Xayah is jealous because Nami is hot in a more innocent way and she attracts people easy

Xayah's quotes for Nami are for ANY enemy Vastayan if I remember rightly. Xayah and Nami have never met in the lore.

Consider that this is not necessarily the only truth.

What we do know from those quotes is that Xayah asked Nami to join her. However, you have to understand that those quotes only trigger if Xayah kills Nami. From an in-game perspective, this means that Nami and Xayah are "enemies" in that particular game. Instead of suspecting any particular enmity between the two vastayan ladies, this interaction really just tells us that Xayah is willing to kill other vastaya if they become her enemies.

I would assume the quote plays when she kills nami in game?

Xayah and Rakan are fighting for the Vastaya in Ionia and feel that anyone not helping (ESPECIALLY fellow Vastayans) is an enemy, ignorant, or a threat to the cause. If Nami didn't join their cause knowing what's happening there Xayah can effectively (at least in her mind) blame Nami and many others for any complications and lack of success down the road, not as a convenient scapegoat but as a vindictive freedom fighter.

Aren't some of those quotes towards Vastaya in general?

If i remember correctly those quotes are simply because Xayah likes all Vastayan, and those quotes represent what Xayah would say/think if she had to go against a vastayan.

Lore-wise Xayah has never met Nami, and probably would get along with her pretty well.
