With the new Nidalee splash arts, why was the base art untouched?

With all the other splash art updates looking fantastic. Im truly surprised that the base Nidalee art was untouched.

Is it just me or does it look behind the times now compared to the updates splash arts?

Could be said the same about the Trundle splash art updates as well.

the art team is only focusing on the skin splash arts

Because it was already an updated version and it's pretty conformed to the new art style despite showing less motion than other splasharts.

I think that both Nidalee and Trundle splashes are modern. No need to touch them (for now, at least).
