Why did they update Darius classic splash art?

I do not understand what was wrong about his old one, and I think the old one was a lot more imposing and gave Darius more depth than the current art.

Can someone explain?

I do miss his older one, current one's more "GRRR I'M ANGRY" instead of "Stone cold pragmatist leader" :/

Because the old one didn't fit the current art style anymore.

Compare the colors, the light effects, the size of the champion, etc. of the old one to splash arts of newer champs and you'll see that there is quite a difference.

Look what I might say will probably go on deaf ears but here goes anyway.

Yeah sure you might have the attitude of "if it ain't broke don fix it" But it doesn't matter which splash art your looking at, its still the same frickin character being represented. Just cause one pose shows a different side to his personality doesn't make the new pose of the character any less so the God damn character. Weuah Weuah but the older weuone is seeeoo meuch bwetter!

Any way sorry not sorry if I sound like one of those "aggresive" hate anyone that has a negative critism towards league kinda dudes.

Darius' new splash art was already 80%-90% completed, that's the main reason it got updated

I like both, but yeah, he older one was definitely a lot more imposing and had much more depth. The new one feels cleaner too. I loved the dirtiness of the older one, mad Darius more of a man despite his shouting figure in his new splash art.

Because apart from his face the splash lacked a lot of detail
