@Riot, what made you decide to give Aatrox only one fat gauntlet on his right hand?
Aatrox is an entitiy of War, wields a sword and has a fat gauntlet on only one hand. Could it be, that this was inspired by War from Darksiders ?

I remember that they wanted to sorta balance both of his sides.
His sword arm is slim,but carries a huge sword. If the other hand was slim as well,then it would look like unbalanced and too empty,so they made it a bit bulkier.
i like to think it part of his original form from back i his prime when darkins werent a endangered race.
No,it's because if you notice closely most armored champions got only half armor,and that armor is on their non weapon side. For example take Sion-wielding axe with one of his hand and the other is armored with a gigantic armor. This also applies to Yasuo's shoulder armor,and many more.
