I'm surprised they gave her a new skin considering the fact that they plan to eventually give her (and her whore sister) a full VGU. Definitely a curve ball out of left field.

It's funny when you think about how much they use the excuse "we don't want to create a new skin for X champion because it will just cause double the work down the line" when people question them about why a certain champion isn't receiving skins. Meanwhile, you can bet that they're going to be releasing the 37th Ahri skin later this year. It's going to be the rumored Pool Party Ahri because sex sells (especially to horny teenagers).

Pool party or Star Guardian Ahri are her current rumors, so could be anything XD ...300 skins later for Ahri, and all the tier 1 VGU candidates still don't get anything cause they are not ready for their VGUs :(

Yeah it's funny that way. It does create more work for them, yet they just proved they will do it and yet they say no when you look at half the champions on the VGU list.

Because Riot loves to have double standards. Why couldn't they do this for Swain or Urgot all those years they were waiting for an update. Also way to ruin the name PENTAkill.

I think it's because, when looking at Kayle, they don't see a HEAVY change in her looks. Morgana, maybe, but Kayle will have a more heavy GU focused update than VU. Visual will probably modernize her look by making her look less clunky, but maybe not a full redesign. not only that, but I guess they look at it like her VU will be like making another skin as opposed to giving her a brand new model.

If her entire model was going to change, this skin wouldn't be working out too well for her update (which might happen 2 yrs from now)

lol i still think its hilarious that if you look at morgana's base splash art, her skirt is such that A) if she were to put any extra force on it whatsoever, jump or anything it would just fall down and B) its very obvious she aint got nothin on underneath. i think she probably has to walk like a kid who just pooped their pants to keep her skirt on.

Aether Wing and Riot Kayle are going to be 30 times the effort to re-do in any VGU than PentaKayle will be. But I expect it to be closer to Marauder WW-level change, where you can barely tell there's a difference between the original splash and the reworked one.

Not to mention the Preorder-exclusive Limited Skin, is it Unmasked? No, Silver.

No champion should be given the old Yorick treatment.

And rest in peace the best skin set in the game. Way to ruin the joke of the name. Pentakill, a 5 man band. They even made a point in the origin story to point out that before they had olaf, they had 4 members in a band that needed 5. But fine I guess. Skins for a set that was complete already, and more money I have to spend to keep the set complete even though it makes no sense whatsoever for there to be more than 5.

Every living band, yes. Not a band full of the dead or immortal. Sona was the only one of the 5 who was mortal. Also, the concept of Karthus being able to use the voices of those dead to sing is such a cooler concept than a heavy metal angel.

i personally want kayle to be a guest singer for pentakill from another band instead of her joining the band. there are enough characters to do it. with kayle and morgana being sisters they could make their own band and have a different sound from pentakill. metal and maybe goth metal? idk. i just think it would be interesting to have a song sung by both morgana and kayle at the same time in a sort of antiphony or duet.

And of course the skin doesn't have her fucking helmet. Not like it was a big part of her lore/character or nothing.

It's telling when the ONE helmeted female champion has to have her face showing in all skins save base skin recolors.

I don't think a Helmet would look all that great for this skin who knows in a VGU they could ditch the helmet all together and turn her unmasked skin into a very new theme

Edgy gunmetal helmets adorned with spikes of villiany are pretty darn metal my man, the face doesn't look bad but the helmet would only add to both the skins theme and Kayle's.

And I've speculated that as Well for a while now. And I really hope they don't, she has a serious case of same-face with a lot of the classic females, the helmet helps to differentiate her while also being cool and relatively practical.
