What you're specifically asking for probably won't happen, because, well, Riot believes that doing just a VU (based on past experience) isn't as efficient as doing a full VGU (Mostly due to resources management).
Anyways, Galio and Cho'Gath's passives, at the very least, could use an update. They're okay, but sometimes (especially for Galio) they don't feel very interactive or even fun.
I used to be a Galio player and I think that the Q and E are pretty bland. His W is strong, sure, just as his Q can be deadly, but it doesn't offer very interesting gameplay, in my opinion, as it's just a big stats-boost for yourself or an ally, and there's only one really cool part about it which is the heal.
The really awesome part about Galio is his Ultimate, which I think is one of the main reasons to play him nowadays (usually this, or being a niche pick against certain team compositions, which isn't all that bad of an idea on paper, but again, feels pretty bland in game and always feels so clunky to me because whenever I don't build MR, I feel bad as if I'm wasting my Passive's power).
I think that Galio, at least, could use a Taric-level update, where they'd build off what's already there, rather than removing things completely- The Ultimate should remain very similar, the E is pretty iconic and should still be some sort of an AoE speed boost for allies and he should still have something that heavily relates to being strong against Magic Damage in his kit.
On the other hand, I'm not sure if there's really a nicer kit for him that still includes an AoE blast of damage (his Q) or his W, and there's also a really cool idea which I've seen in a few places, where with a new ability, he could sit on turrets or walls, gain some effect and then maybe dive onto allies (protecting then) or onto enemies in range.
The last two paragraphs are just my two cents on Galio, and while I love Cho, I can't speak much for him because I just don't play him very often.
