Could it be a leg, an arm? Both? I think Swain being crippled was an interesting part of his character, as well as the question of weather he ever truly was, given his Tyrant skin.

Crippled maybe not. Battle-scarred most definitely.
Wasn't it the leak, or perhaps something earlier the said he's missing an arm? Either way, that's the current rumor. And considering all those flying blades Irelia's got, I highly doubt she'd let Swain scurry away with just a broken leg.
