I know Urgot is almost certainly one but just having two confirmed champions getting visual and gameplay overhauls after Galio will be very nice. A lot of times it's pretty ambiguous about who's going to get a VGU but now we'll be certain about what's coming. Very excited for when this info drops.

SteelMankind14 votesInteresting opinion. I would say that most champs released in the past two years have had new and innovative features, such as Azir soldiers, Kindred ult, Aurelion passive, etc. Only old champs I can think of which match new champs in this regard are Yasuo and Orianna.
And ever since Riot killed tank Ekko, playing him is straight up the most fun I've ever had in League; I can't imagine whats not to like about his scrappy, mobile, bursty playstyle.

Sexy Jack Rabbit4 votesEvelynn's rework is a case of severely bad Game health, hence why she's so far up the VGU Priority list. Permanent Stealth/Camouflage can kind of limit counterplay, which Riot has suddenly become obsessed with as of November last year.
Akali and Shaco are however cases moreso similar to Irelia. They aren't necessarily in bad spots, (heck Shaco is almost a top tier jungler) but just in need for some new fantasy in their kits and character.

Also it was said that the changes to the 3 assassins during the assassin-update were pretty much just bandaids for the time between the assassin-update and their eventual VGUs(the same was done with 
),it actually looks like Eve is one of the top candidates for a VGU at the moment,because they feel like her theme is lacking and that gameplaywise she is kind of a mess right now(she is supposed to be an assassin,yet she is usually played as a diver)

He could be so cool if he's done right. This time without pizza feet, a clunky attempt of making him an botlane juggernaut and a dragon that's just there to give him power that was taken away from elsewhere. Oh and of course he'd finally look badass and maybe have more and better hidden metal references.

Riot has said many times in the past that they let designers pitch a good idea and direction for a champ in these cases. When someone has a vision, they can jump someone up the list. Currently, my top 3 guesses are...
There a lot that don't make it on that list, too, like Akali. There are a lot of champs that would benefit from a rework. But I wouldn't bet my life on any of those that I mentioned making it. There are a lot of champs to choose from.

From what we know the list consists of:

Though we don't know if these are all the champions that are on this list(however we do know that galio will be next and I've read that Urgot is now in the works as well)

GreenLore2 votesYeah its quite a lot. They said that according to their data new champion releases are still valued more by the players,so there is currently still more focus on those than updates. However they also said that VGUs are gaining popularity and that they will likely decrease the rate of new champion releases so that they can make more VGUs instead in the future.
