Also, like what I did a couple days ago, I had to shorten the second story's title in the poll, because it's just a bit too long.

#2018 Skin Lore Tournament: Day 4

Today, we finally have the skin lore battle between two of the most captivating new universes of the year! On one side, we have The Lure, which tells how Odyssey Kayn - or as he is often known, Ordinal Shieda Kayn - ventures to the planet Ionan in his search for ora, but instead, he finds something much more important. On the other side, we have The Man With the Grinning Shadow, which tells how High Noon Lucian once lost his wife, Senna, to the devil Thresh, and how he now seeks to both get her back and have his revenge on the devil who took her away.

Odyssey Kayn, otherwise known as Ordinal Shieda Kayn of the great Demaxian Empire, goes to question a group of Templars on the planet of Ionan in his search for the powerful substance ora. One Templar, a curiously quiet girl named Sona, seems to be especially important. Yet in his search for ora, Kayn ends up finding something even more valuable upon Ionan: the mysterious scythe Rhaast, who, if Kayn proves worthy, can help him become the most feared killer in the galaxy.

The Man With the Grinning Shadow by Jared Rosen

High Noon Lucian was once a federal marshal, keeping the West in line with the help of his wife, Senna, and the trusty aim of their guns. After an encounter with the sadistic devil Thresh, Lucian lost both his wife and part of his soul. Now, struggling with the hellish corruption threatening to consume him, he takes a journey to New Eden to see if he has any chance to get Senna back, and to claim his revenge.

And the finals are closed! It was incredibly close for a while and almost ended as a tie, but then The Lure pulled away to take the gold in the end with 20 votes to 18! The Man With the Grinning Shadow honorably takes second place, as many seemed to love that story as well.
