Also, alternatively, Mecha Kha'Zix is small size and went rogue, so they made Mecha Rengar to hunt it down.

Kha'zix happens to feature in the Mecha promotional art featuring the whole line up of champs belonging to the skin theme. There is both him and Aatrox swooping in from the background, yes you can clearly see Kha is a lot smaller than the others. But he's still no "hide in the shrubbery of the jungle" small.

I'd imagine it depends on the needs of the Mecha. Aatrox, Sion and Malphite seem huge, but considering Rengar turns in to a car it's not surprising he's not as large. Different Mecha for different roles.

Correct! However Sion turns into a train which is a pretty redundant feature on a Jaeger. But if transforming into a towering train means nothing for Sion's size then there's no reason Rengar HAS to be of smaller size just because he becomes a race car.

But yes it really makes little to no sense that both Rengar & Kha'zix would be building sized robots. As what would be the plausibility in their agility and cloaking capabilities if they were lumbering machines.

It seems to me as one of two things: Either Kha'zix is as towering as the promotional art suggests and Rengar is biting off more than he can chew or they're both of similar size and there's just an huge inconsistency in art here. [Or the joke, the jungle is giant...]

I like that Rengar looks like a newer sleeker model. Kha looks like a first generation iteration, Sion, Male and Aatrox look like the 2nd generation and Rengar looks the most advanced.

Since we're talking about the Mecha skin line, and Mecha Sion has come up, I'm really curious why he is getting left out of the Mecha Chroma wave? Legitimately every Mecha skin but Mecha Zero Sion is getting chromas...

Could be because he's Legendary, so they have to do more work there in order to make that work.

The main difference between Legendary and Epic tier skins is the completely new VO. Legendary may have a bit more VFX, but not that much. I could understand if it was an issue where making chromas for 4 champions was too much for one patch (I don't think I've ever seen more than 3 champions at once), and they wanted to make sure Sion got really good chromas on his own, in the future, rather than just a few average ones now.

I just want to know if there's hope for him, and if we're going to have to wait a year or more for it.

Eh, Legendary also have completely new animation/riggings vs their base. As it is like making a new champion when they make those skins. So there's a bit more to it.

I do agree though that Sion needs one as the rest of them have em, but then again they just did Kha, Aatrox, and Rengar which have 6, 3, 5 chromas respectively so that was already quite a few things to do.

Chromas aren't just plain recolors anymore either, they do have textures, gradients, effects colors, etc so I'd say that 14 Chromas for this batch was quite a lot to do. Since they do have to get the colors to match the way they want, test them to make sure everything works and looks decent.

I don't know as I'm not working on skins at the moment, but mecha make for good chromas and it's his best skin so I'd be surprised if it wasn't planned for the future.

Have you not seen the login screen for Mecha Zero Sion? Some of them (Malphite and Sion) are gigantic
