One thing to remember is that in game limitations for the sake of balance, do not necessarily exist within lore. In Zed's teaser image posted by Champion Herald NeeksNaman we see Zed with....9 shadows.
What is the upper limit of shadows that he can create? What is the limit of how often he can swap with them? And in lore, it appears they may be mobile, and able to attack in melee -is this true?

HIs model's shadow doesn't disappear when he sends his own forward (Rito pls), so that's not his limitation.
This was his lore when he comes to take over the Temple in Ionia. Afterwards, Nocturne is supposedly ripped from Zed and he no longer possesses to same power that he had before. He had used his power to slay Shen's father, and, it was the only way Zed was going to be able to.
Does project zed count? Because it looks like he was able to make tons of shadows as well
and the real Sun Wukong can destroy the league universe but ingame they made him extremely weak
