it doesnt work because sorc/mejais/frost queen/dcap/void/haunting/hourglass are too important and thats already 7 items

Back at the beginning of the season, I pretty commonly built Tear zhonya lucidity seraph hat void rylai on Lux vs AD matchups. You have to have CDR/lvl runes or it's pretty weak, and it still takes a long time to ramp up, and your early waveclear isn't as good as you might like. You get much better survivability than nearly any other build in late, though, between your two actives, armor from zhonya, and HP from rylai, which makes Zed and Talon quite unhappy with you. Further, your burst damage is REALLY strong, stronger than anything but a mejai build (and almost as strong as that) without the risk. You could replace tear with morello or FQC, but neither gives as much mana later on, nor as much AP, nor the shield, so choosing tear is simply a trade off. But haunting is absolutely NOT a required item on Lux, and neither is mejai. FQC isn't even nearly as good as it was, although you can still build it.

Regardless of what you build, getting Sorcery pots mid game is (IMO) the key to surviving a tough mid game. 15 MP5 is pretty insanely strong; that will let you wave clear even under pretty bad circumstances.

haunting/void/sorc and an absurd amount of ap is the only possible way to burst freelo mr abusers that use abyssal/maw and all of the other shit that needs to be nerfed

FQC gives you 4-6 kills of gold just for owning the item if you combine fqc/mejai scaling you basically have a 3k-4k gold advantage over the other players by 30-40 minutes fqc also allows for FQ tps/face checking baron/fqc then running point blank up to someone and e or qing them

Lux has long cooldowns and massive mana costs. She has no way to stack the tear. You're basically paying for 15% mana refund and nothing else, when you could be getting more AP or even Morellonomicon for better mana sustain and very efficient stats.

Fun fact, back when she was being designed the devs WANTED her to have a way to stealth allies; however, it got dropped due to difficulties implementing it, and she got her shield instead.

so glad they didnt ruin the splash, it's her only skin that i actually like, since it's one of the only 3 that isn't too cheery... and it's the only one out of those 3 that i actually like (i hate Imperial and Commando is eh..). props to Riot for keeping the feel of the original splash art while still making it vastly superior! ^_^

Indeed she did, and this splash art depicts Lux going onwards to take away the tome full of Veigar's spells.

No wonder Veigar can no longer generate mana via his passive since the mage rework, Lux went out of her way to not only take away the mana pots, but mana regeneration as a whole as well.
