So from what I can tell it seems like only a few champions remain that have not had their splash art touched up.

` I would consider these to be more of a "in need of a touchup pass" more than anything. They have good compositions just need to get cleaned up a bit to better match the rest of the roster

^ The new splash art for these champs is likely to come with their inevitable rework.

" taric has technically received a new splash art from his original... but it is kind of out of date now so I kind of think he could use a new one :P

Also dont get me started on the skin splash arts, which all taht had old splash arts except Katarina and Ashe need updating.

he is for sure going into the list. thanks for the catch. some reason I thought they re did his splash with his retexture, guess not :P

well swains was updated not to long ago, same with gangplank, xin zhao, and fiddlesticks (though this was more a changeover to the Asian splash) so i think they are still okay. Jayce seems pretty close to the current style so he is alright. Same with Fiora, Leona, Lulu, and Nautilus. Evelyn, Anivia, and Warwick are definitely in need and for some reason i knew that but didnt include in my original list... doh. I could see Fizz getting a touchup pass for sure, same with Skarner.

As for the skin splash art... It is hard to say if they intend to update them. I would probably say they are on a very far backburner until at the very least all of the classic splash art is completely up to date. Until then I wouldn't expect to see any skin splash art changes.

I think you are right about swain, not sure why i thought it was new, my bad. I know for certain that gangplank has been updated though.

While you might be right about some of the others not being fresh off the drawing board, I still feel that when you look at their backdrops that they are far more crisp and well blended compared to some of the older champs. As for Rengar, I think he might have been a special case considering he went through a rework/retune. That doesnt mean all of the earlier reworks/retunes received new splashes though, I'm looking at you Skarner.

Keep in mind that this list is not about the splashes I personally like or dislike. It is about which ones do not fit the current style the game has now adopted. I am not a huge fan of some of the newer splash art, but that doesnt mean I feel they absolutely need to be redone. This is very important to keep in mind even when it comes to gameplay changes. Just because something gets changed, nerfed, buffed, or whatever, does not mean it is bad. We may not like it but it is typically what needs to be done to keep the game fair and fun for all. :)

Alright, so you have caught my interest with your passion for Jayce. A few questions for you, what exactly about the current splash doesnt feel like Jayce to you? Or what about his current splash doesnt portray him as a hero of piltover? can you better explain what you mean by "Watermarked"? lastly, What sort of things do you feel would better represent Jayce as the hero of Piltover?
