Issue 4 of the Zed comic is amazing and has 3 major lore progressions.

Zed is in prison in modern day, with the potential of losing his magic.

Kayn is now the leader of the Order of the Shadows.

Jhin is going to Piltover ((((((((((((AWAKEN CINEMATIC))))))))))

IT'S HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!

We... Already knew Jhin was going to Piltover. Issues 3-4 cover Jhin's color story, The Man With The Steel Cane. Its just a retelling of it to make it more dramatic for the comic format.

From the jetty, Jhin looked back to the foreign ship. The tide had come in, and the ship would be leaving in a few moments. He would have to return soon if he was going to perform in Zaun next month. Risk on top of risk.

It was a good read, I enjoyed this issue.

I remember hearing/reading here long ago that the current status of thing sis that Jhin has gone to Piltover because of a contract he has, Zed is after him and Shen and Akali are following. This comic is just aligning all that. I expect Zed to get out of jail.

One thing I always said is that if and when Kayn returned to the Order after getting Rhaast to 'claim' to be leader, Zed would kill him for (a) not destroying the scythe and killing a fellow member and (b) trying to think he could be leader when Zed is still alive and well and in charge.

This is like a way to get out of that scenario. Zed is captured so Kayn is leader by default, not skill or natural succession. The fact he has Rhaast and Zed hasn't responded to it is odd to me however, his arm is covered and he has the scythe.

We knew that Jhin was going to Piltover/Zaun years ago... its not new info.

And i can bet that Zed will return to the Order of Shadows. Remember the imprisonment of Urgot? its the same now, but with Zed instead.

But regardless of that, the comic was nice.

Jhin going to Piltover makes sense with the previous hints the lore gave us about it. I'm glad they are not going to retcon that part.

I actually think that Zed will escape the prison and return to the order of the shadows.

So far in the comic he never wore his iconic metal helmet, but the teaser for the next one shows Zed wearing it in prison, which tells me that this comic actually plays in Zeds past. By the end of issue 5 Zed will have become the Zed that we have ingame and that we saw in the Xayah/Rakan-video.
