Fiddlesticks, could he get a revamp? New Lore, VGU

Let's just start things off with lore.

How about instead of him being a "Harbinger" that does absolutely nothing that his title suggests, you remake Fiddlesticks into a folk spirit (Because what else can he really be besides a spirit/demon at this point?) Maybe change his title from The Harbinger of Doom, to Herald of The Fields, or Herald of the Harvest, something along those lines.

Make it so he goes about serving the whims of the peasantry and farmers of the world, both protecting and enriching their crops through his own wicked ways. Are the farmers having trouble with bandits or do they just really want to kill some person they're jealous of? They summon up Fiddlesticks who proceeds to go out and murder all of them regardless of the reason. After killing his targets he could take their bodies to feed the crops while also taking their souls to transform them into his cursed crows.

Next up could we please update his terrible animations and that awful voice? His laugh animation is literal garbage, he just stands perfectly still while doing a throaty smoker laugh, and his auto attacks are terrible. Why not let him be more like his appearance in the Twist of Fate cinematic?

He looked and sounded so damn cool in this animation, but then you get into game and it's impossible not to be disappointed at what you see. http://a.disquscdn.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/2907/3277/original.gif

And finally you can move onto his abilities and really it's only Drain that needs anything done to it if a revamp like this went through. Simply follow along with the theme and change the name to Harvest and there you go, Fiddlesticks is now a thousand times better than before and his balance hasn't changed one bit.

Idk about him kit wise, but I'm confident in saying is that they need to change animation when he gains move speed like the cinematic where it's really fast looking as he is about close the distance on his prey. Also I wish he would strech his arms to the side and stand their like a real scarecrow normally does when his passive kicks in. Making him more creepy.

Have you even read his lore? He is nothing of the sort. A powerful rune mage from Zaun "Istvaan" one of the first summoners, locked himself in one of his summoning chambers and began to chant a forbidden ritual - an extra-planar summoning. No one knows what happened in the chamber or what became of Istvaan, all that remains is Fiddlesticks who guards the entrance. The league council sealed all exits to the chamber of fear of the evil that not even Istvaan could not control. As years went by and Fiddlesticks did not move except to slay any that were foolish enough to enter, the devised a use for him - Executioner. He is the "Harbinger of Doom" because he is the last thing you see before you are cut down.

Fiddle does have a bunch of unhealthy elements, like point and click instant hard CC, and a targeted silence. These should be changed to be more fair and more thematically interesting.

I find fiddlesticks interesting in that he is an ancient champion with what I consider a fantastic and fun kit (especially after he got the movespeed passive from the mage update) but he needs everything else an update brings (animations, voice over, new model, new lore etc.). This will cause him to probably not be updated for a while but I could see him getting a shen sorta update where he is almost the same just freshened up a bit with maybe a few small changes to kit.

I do like the idea of him being a folk spirit or maybe just the personification of fear that he seems to already mostly be.

I'd love him to be turned into a scarecrow. A scarecrow that has crows in his ulti...? Isn't he supposed to SCARE them away not summon them around him?

Eh I don't really like the harbinger title going away from him but I can see why it doesn't fit. A possible lore change to keep him as a bringer of doom would be if fiddle was a kind of folktale figure told by farmers and common folk that brings bad luck or disasters to those who see him. Just my thoughts though.

Reading your suggestion on lore, it may be cool If they get him inspired by Rumplestiltskin a little.

Someone with power to grant nearly unimaginable wishes, doing it only because he's addicted to bets. As reward he usually asks for a child of the people he grants the wish for. What he does with the children remains unknown to everyone, however some say he brings them to Shadow Isles.

On the other hand, I'd like Twisted Treeline to remain Nightmare land, because despite its look and general belief, Twisted Treeline is not (most probably) Shadow Isles but another nightmareish world. Even though they tried to get rid off the multiworld universe concept with Taric, with champs like Aurelion champs like Kayle and Morgana can keep their indetity from another world.

So I'd like Fiddle and Nocturne be both from the Nightmare world. It would make certain group of champions special, not being creepy ghost in Shadow Isles way, but creepy mirages in Twisted Treeline way. Shaco could join them, maybe they could even connect Tahm's origin to it.

EDIT: As for abilities, they certainly need more changes. There have been good suggestions in Concept boards. And I'd certainly want at least one pumpkin ability.

Kudos to you, buddy! I tried making a post like this a while back, but it got bogged down in the rest of the board. I do like Fiddle's original theme a lot, but we can't have that anymore, and I like your idea, too. Especially the auto attack animation. Keep on posting, my man!

His lore is fine. It states he's waiting for something we don't know about. Implying he knows when the end of the world is coming, as suggested by his line, "The end is near..."

I've done my take on what Fiddlesticks' new lore and rework would be. I frequently update it for any new ideas or a few tweaks on his abilities.

I'd actually love if he could have a similar twirl animation for something like when his attacks Critically Strike, at the very least (or perhaps even for a new ability?).
