Older Champion Model Overhaul

Something that has been bothering me for awhile is how inconsistent the quality of Lol's champion models are. This is due to the age of the game, with older models looking depressing compared to the clean, crisp models coming out today. Many use Mundo as an example, for good reason, however it effects a decent chunk of the champion pool. Personally, I think an overhaul of champion models would greatly enhance how the game looks, as well as giving a new, solid base for new skins coming out. Obviously this would be a huge project. There are so many skins and champs that could be tweaked just because of how long the game has been alive. Knowing this, would it be possible to steadily roll out new models for the champs that need them most, slowly making the models in the game more consistent?
