When Kayle gets reworked "Unmasked Kayle" will be deleted. Let's argue

There is absolutely no reason why Riot would rework Kayle and keep a skin that does absolutely nothing but show her face.

It is redundant. It is lazy. And let's face it, it would be nothing more than a cash grab when it gets released as just "Unmasked"

Akali, Taric, and Evelynn(y'all forget Shadow was recolor?) prove that recolors will be given new themes and ideas. Crimson Akali was switched to Infernal Akali because Crimson was purely a recolor. At that point, it was either keep the name and think of "blood" or something related to..."crimson" or make a skin that is steeped in red. They chose the latter, so we got Infernal instead of Crimson.

But at least those were recolors. Unmasked Kayle is FAR LESS than a recolor. It's a base without a single component. Imagine if they decide to make a new MF skin. It is the same as base MF, but she's without the hat....Why? Why would they do that? It's 2018, so something as simple as that could be a toggle. That would make no sense. That is why Unmasked Kayle won't remain as just "Unmasked Kayle."

So, with that said, Riot will do 1 of 2 things with Unmasked Kayle.

1.) Ratchet "unmasked" to 11 and alter it into some crazy Metroid to Zero-suit (or Captain GP to Classic GP) 2.) Make an entirely new skin that may belong to an already existing skinline.

But either way ti goes. People, please don't just assume that Unmasked Kayle will be a typical..Kayle, but no helmet. That would be tacky.

For Kayle, she'd probably swap from gold armor everywhere to maybe arm guards, shoulder pads, and boots, but with a leather breastplate and some thick under armor material. Something that gives the impression that she's traveling light instead of fully decked out.

Maybe it will be changed into "Pool Party Kayle" where she's in a bikini instead.

IMO unmasked should be made into an entirely different skin, and riot should just give her the option to toggle the helmet on and off on the other skins where it makes sense.

I would sell every part ofmy body to keep that skin just without mask, like, really, it is so unique due to how lazy it is, please, Riot, let it be our relic, the last part of old character designing (except kai'sa, screw kai'sa and her lazy writing). Also, if they will remake this skin into something less ridiculous, I would love some recompensation, it's not like people were buying this skin with hope of getting reworked, they bought it because he was literally the same, but with so minor detail. I beg you, guys, don't do it to us.

They'll probably just give it a new theme or something, similar to the whole Crimson Akali thing.

Far more likely that her "unmasked" version will become her base version than it simply being removed.

I'm more curious about what they will do with the Viridian Kayle skin ... Possible Elderwood Kayle reworked skin?

As much as I love the skin (it's the first skin I owned via mystery gift), I fear that would be the case considering what they did to Crimson Akali. What I hope they'll do is maybe rework it to "Armour-Less" Kayle, have her in normal clothing that is based on whatever region she'll be in.

Or they can use Unmasked as an opportunity to be a "Traditional" skin IF they reworked the base skin too much to the point it's no longer resemble old Kayle.

Riot Girl Tristana was originally just the default body with some slight recolors and stickers tacked on. New Riot Girl Tristana put her in shorts, leggings, shoes, arm-length gloves, and a hoodie.

It's easy to forget the art once looked fuck ugly.

I imagine something similar will happen with Unmasked Kayle.

I assume they're going to have it be lore-signifact- As in, maybe her helmet would symbolize one stage in her life and her being helmet-less would symbolize the previous stage, before she wore all that armor and got whatever title and responsibilities she'd have in the present.

They definetly might rename it into something like "Young Kayle" and design it based on her younger look (like with Ryze and Young Ryze), while having her head uncovered.

But I don't think that they'd remove it altogether.

Admittedly it is presumptuous of us to assume they should change the skin. However the main selling point of the skin is no longer even the fact that she is 'unmasked' as she already has 3 other skins fully showing her face. If you support that Kayle should no longer have 'boob plate' armor I think it makes sense to also support the toggle function, because having a toggle on the base skin is one way to tell players "Hey Kayle is a woman" despite her armor not revealing so.

On the contrary, not changing/ enhancing the skin would be a wasted opportunity to make money on the release of Kayle's rework.

I know there is a theory that Kayle is Demacia's "Veiled lady", I would turn "Unmasked Kayle" into that skin, "Veiled Lady Kayle". Basically cranking the unmasked theme to 11, where instead of a full suit of armor she is dressed in a gown and robes more stereotypical of female angels with a toggle function between being 'veiled' or 'unveiled', I think it would make for a great lore skin.

"Personally I think is the Veiled Lady but meh..."
