@Reav3 question about the universe page (nami and rengar discussion)

Killaburn·7/10/2017, 9:26:04 AM·1 votes·522 views

why is nami not considered a targonian and rengar not considered shuriman in the universepage. In their new stories, their origins and place are now canon. why then? whilst aurelion sol named runatera but when you go the universe page of targon he is there while nami and rengar arent and riven too. she is an exile like taric(but taric got some issues with targon so he's with targon now) but still considered noxian. Another is, why is gragas not considered freljordian in the unvirese page but considered as a runaterra. another question is that the now the jungle(like kumngu jungle) migrated to earthern/southern shurima based on rengar's law does that mean zyra and nidalee should migrate to shurima aswell??

PS: Don't argue with incoming VGU's lore about this because i know them like fiddle or malp.

Nami: Nami isn't a Targonian. She's a vastaya from the bottom of the ocean. She has nothing to do with Targonian culture, and until recently had never even been on land. The people of Targon likely did not even know her people existed until she flopped ashore. Yes, I know the ocean she is from borders on Targonian territory, but that doesn't make her Targonian.

Rengar: He's not the only champ who lives on the Shuriman continent but is not considered Shuriman. Regnar has nothing to do with the culture of Shurima, he's never met the other Shuriman champs, and is not involved with the main Shuriman stories. Like Rek'sai or Kha'zix, he's just there, doing his own thing. Ultimately, saying that "Renagr is Shuriman" does not say as much about him as saying "Rengar is a Vastaya". If the Universe site supported secondary tags, he would be listed as Shuriman secondary.

Riven: There's every chance Riven has actually returned to Noxus, whilst remaining an exile from Noxian society and military. The Noxian Empire is a big place.

Gragas: Gragas is not actually Freljordian. He's been there, but he's on a quest across all of Runeterra to find his perfect alcohol. His lore's old anyway.

Nidalee Zyra: It would make sense for Nidalee to be moved to Shurima, so that they Rengar v Nidalee rivalry stays alive. No clue about Zyra.

Nami isn't from Targon and doesn't live there either. In fact she is currently heading for Ionia, but she'll likely not remain there either.

Rengar His people are from Shurima(though I'm not even sure if that refers to the land shurima or the southern continent in general),but he has left his tribe and they likely won't play a role in his story anymore. In general I think the kumungu jungle might be on the southern continent(we actually don't know for sure),but it is not part of the shuriman empire, which is why its champions are not counted as shuriman champs

Riven well we don't know where she is currently, she might be in ionia, but she might get back to noxus eventually and Noxus will always be central to her character

Gragas no idea,I guess he might be less connected to the freljord once his lore update comes.

They never stated that the jungle Rengar now hunts in is the kumugu.

Rengar and Nami are not considered Shuriman and Targonian respectively (even though I considered them as such, but that's just my preference) because they are not involved with the stories of these factions, Rengar could care less about Xerath and Azir, their little war doesn't involve his territory. He will play a side role in the story of Shurima because of his connection to Kha' zix and the Void, but aside from that nothing dictates that he should involve himself further with Shurima. Likewise with Nami, after she gets the moonstone from Diana she isn't inclined to help with rebuilding the Lunari or defending Mount Targon from the Void, if anything once she returns to the marai she may have her own string of problems with regard to the abyss.

Aurelion Sol was enslaved by the Targonians, they are an interstellar empire, and he travels from planet to planet at their behest, however these Targonians are different from the Targonians of Runeterra, that inhabit Mount Targon, and the faction is that of Mount Targon not the True Targon, hence he isn't classified as a Mount Targon champ, also, it may be a hint that Aurelion Sol will break free from Targon's control in the future.

Riven is still considered Noxian, because she isn't just an exile, she is a 'Noxian exile' the time she spent in Noxus is what defined her character, thus she is affiliated with Noxus roster wise. The opposite of Aurelion really, Noxus made her who she is today, but the Mount Targon of today has very little to do with Aurelion Sol and his enslavement.

Gragas probably is due for new lore.
