Ideas and opinions on Darkin champion lores

Riot's got a lot to shoulder lore-wise with the addition of 3 completely new narratives for Aatrox and two other unknown Darkin weapons. Personally speaking, I feel that they shouldn't have changed Varus's lore so drastically for three main reasons:

• Old lore for Varus was perfect for the occasion (loss of home and family-->vengeance), and the new lore kinda lacks this loss because nobody dies (not even the mom for crying out loud).
• Darkin attitudes should vary-the best stories have characters with different or unforgettable personalities. In this case, Varus is too close to Rhaast personality-wise and both lack depth; however, Rhaast fits the occasion given his shallow and careless attitude.
• Most importantly, they now have to create 3 new stories and they can't pull off the new Varus lore anymore. The new Varus lore would be better suited for a Darkin relating to something like desperation or fear because both MCs in the story have much to fear losing (each other, their home, family, etc).

The new Varus lore in itself could have be expanded if outfitted with a completely new champion without being locked to the topic of vengeance. That being said, perhaps Riot should salvage Varus's old lore and put it into one of the three upcoming Darkin stories. It won't fit as well as with vengeance if they do a simple copy-paste, but tweaking it may result in a unique and new approach to the Darkin race. In my opinion, the Darkin must have a variety of personalities, albeit with shared distaste for humanity. Trust me, having a Darkin with the sole thoughts of "KILLKILLKILL" will be stale and boring by the 4th Darkin character.

On a side note, having new ideas for Darkins themselves would be nice. A personal idea of mine is a Darkin character with dual weapons, resulting a split personality not just between the weapon and the wielder, but also the weapon itself. Perhaps the Darkin was always this way; maybe back on their homeworld some shit went down and two darkins being fused into one (sounds familiar); perhaps the Darkin itself was split by humanity on Runeterra. What I'm hinting at is that Riot has so much potential for these new lores. They squandered Varus's old story in favor of the new one (which would've worked better elsewhere imo), so I hope they make it up by making the next three amazing (Kayn/Rhaast was pretty damn good).
