The only reason Aatrox is spelled with 2 A's is so that hes constantly at the top of the list. so that ppl dont forget that he exists.. [sg-lulu]

I'd prefer Fraank or Maark. This character isn't Varus so Riot shouldn't pretend that he is.

It is Varus. While I think the new lore is not perfect, it is better than the old lore. The old lore had no place in the state the story is at the moment. Varus has been speculated as a Darkin for years.

All Void has x'x, x'x. Riot just forgot that all Darkin had 2As because their team forgets a lot of small details. So instead of admit it, they tell us no we don't want a pattern we can't remember.

Would be a nice way to signify that the old and new Varus are two different characters. They share pretty much nothing in common, why should they share a name?

Well Varus looking purple and more "human" than Rhaast and Aatrox is a first hint that he is a bit different than them. Maybe darkins do have subspecies/different origins like humans do, hence why he has a different appearence and thus does not need a double A.

Only speculation of course.

Well Varus's body is a hybrid between Human and Darkin because of all the stuff that happened with the 2 hunters

I know, but he still looks purple, "woody" and more human that Aatrox/Rhaast looking more demon-like, red and armored. In his story he is mentionned as from the "second wave of envahisors" so we can assume easily he is from a different "subspecy" than Aatrox and Rhaast. He is just very different from them so i wouldn't be surprised he does not have a double A
