Damn, I don't know about yall but I freakin loved that story...
But does anyone feel like it was very, random? almost out of no where kinda? could the story be like a little tease or maybe a hint of some kind?
The characters (especially the character who left alone at the very end) Seem awfully... built up...
Could he be a new champ? Idk why but I want his story to continue...

The chain champion is coming before the next champion roadmap and that roadmap comes ''Early next year''.
There's clearly ALOT of build up around one character for such a long and random story to just pop out like that.
I wouldn't be surprised that this story is ''what happened to sylas before he got chained and locked in Demacia'' since our new champion needs an heavy reason to be chained like that after all.
EDIT : Also, the first picture we saw in the tease way back then clearly showed off Demacian architecture so a Demacian story popping off just like that is even more suspicious. Sylas apparently got caught and chained down in Demacia. He can still detect mages, but he took up that girl's power and became way too powerful. Maybe he became a tool for Magic Detection and is chained deep in a petricite stronghold ?
It can also be just a great story for an eventual connection to the chained champion and to better understand how Mageseekers work and the Dark Side of Demacia when it concerns magic.
How can you love it?
I enjoyed it a great deal too. First thought I had after reading was that it was a teaser for the chain champ and I came on here to see if people agree. The answer was yes!
this story probaly features the new champion, showed in the teaser today, maybe the boy with the old lady in the beginning or the one that was imprisoned, but yeah the lore event will be big, you can be hyped, many cool stuff will come
