I would be happy if irelia gets reworked ,im tired of her getting fed and becoming unstoppable. I think riot should rework champions that are actually a problem like pantheon,irelia,akali.... before champions like nunu,mordekaiser.... so we have less annoying champions ASAP

btw, from what i know, the next champ is a girl and a mage(mobile mage i believe). There is also a speculation that the next champ will come from a city(bandle city/pilt/zaun)

Yep, I read about the next champion being a mage (but where is it stated that she is going to be mobile? ô.o). I am curious what exactly "mage" is supposed to mean.

It could mean that her lore fantasy is that of a mage, so someone really using magic. Or it could just be a hint at her subclass, that she is going to be a burst mage. battle mage or artillery mage. Ziggs and Viktor are considered mages, too, but their lore fantasy is about technology.

And I read that speculation about her coming from a city, because of the darkened icons on the website. But many people I read thought that it is just an old bug and these icons Camille Ivern Taliyah Yorick are just coincidentally building the word city.

Which is pretty sad, I am always extremely hyped for new champions from Piltover and Zaun and I think that Piltover could really use more champions.....

The curiosity is killing me. x__x

for me, i theorize that bandle city is next, considering that they are ones that doesn't have any retcon lores yet(except the new ziggs comic) and we need new yordle girls. And i agree with you, we need pilty champs too

Yeah, Bandle City is unfortunately more likely than Piltover and Zaun. The last champion directly associated with Bandle City was Lulu and that was in the year 2012. That's a really long time, dammit.

When you take into account all the factors, there are a lot of champions that need some level of visual update. Ether it be a complete one, or just model, or even just textures or animations. There are still at least 5-10 years worth of champs to update.

Pick one, all of them need some level of love.

Nunu is definitely an obvious choice. His model is so out of place with everything in current League. Is the only one besides Anivia, Veigar, and Teemo from the original rouster that stayed the same from the release of the game to now (not counting texture changes that happened with the SR update since even those didnt give Nunu that big of a difference).

The next VGU is most likely a jungler. Riot has been reworking a jungler in between every other rework

But it would make more sense to release Nunu in winter time, just like we got Evelynn close to Halloween. They should postpone Nunu until christmas next year. :3

NO!!!!! eve and Halloween is just a coincidence. VGU's and seasons doesn't need to be an event though or even together. It would just kill the franchise if that would happen, by postponing high priority awaiting list of rework champs like nunu and mordekaiser.

On top of that:

They try to avoid overlay of regions the champions come from, Swain is next, that means no Noxian afterwards.
They don't want to always rework dark champions, that was one big reason to mix Galio in the VGUs back then. Urgot, Evelynn and Swain are all pretty dark thematically, so the next champion should be from the friendly spectrum.

With these points in mind, the most likely candidates for the next VGU slot in my opinion are Nunu & Rammus
