[@Riot] Whatever happened to Sivir after Azir ascended??

Imo alot of Sivir's lore was left hanging in mid story after the Shurima event. Heck, I don't even think Riot ever said it outright if Sivir even knows that she's the decendant of Azir. Sure, its implied with her lore that she kinda knows but when did she have the chance to find out? I mean, Azir himself didn't really know, so how did Sivir find out? Even if Azir somehow knew, Sivir only knows him through his Chicken form. Did a giant chicken wake Sivir up and tell her in a masked heavily breathing voice, "Sivir, I am your great grand father."?? (Sorry, the Star wars reference oppertunity was too good to pass up) I'd imagine that Sivir would question her sanity even if that did happen.

But that's not all, how did Azir's return impact Sivir? It said in her lore that whatever she found in the tomb changed her life. Howso? I can't imagine Sivir being able to do anything with knowing that she's Azir's decendant. Yeah she's theoretically royalty, but how does that change your life if you're the royalty of city ruins? And why would that matter to a mercenary? I simply can't see this being useful/impactful unless it's a requirement to ascend? (Ascended Sivir skin plis riot)

And why / how did Sivir become friends with Nasus?? How does an oversized hound guardian get to know and be friends with a mercenary?

TL;DR

  1. How did Siv/Azir find out their blood ties with each other? Even if Azir had powers to tell, Sivir would have to trust a giant bird telling her that she's his decendant.

  2. How does knowing Sivir's heritage "change Sivir's life dramatically"? (Paraphrasing her lore) What'd she do with that knowledge?

  3. How does Nasus get to know, meet, and befriend Sivir? One being a mercenary and the other being (I think) a guardian hound? (Says the two are friends on Siv's lore page)

Hopefully the rest of the Shurima stories will be released shortly. The team wrote these new chapters over a year ago. Sivir's story was mine and I assure you I'm probably waaay more anxious for you to see how she was changed by the Shurima events than anyone.

Sivir "The fuck just happened?" Nasus "A great many things. Shurima has risen once more, and in its wake the Ascended have returned. Sivir "...I don't even know what to say." Nasus "You have time." Sivir "What?" Nasus "You have a great many questions I am sure. I have some answers, some Azir may have, but some only you can find. Think on things. Consider what you truly wish to do, and whether you even want answers at all. Clear your mind of doubt, and when you have decided upon a path to follow, walk down it with your head held high." Sivir "And what if that path leads me away from all of this?" Nasus "Then it was simply your choice." Sivir "..." Sivir turns and walks away from the newly restored capital, and ponders on the most difficult decision of her life.

As far as I'm aware (or would infer) she's basically like "The fuck, you're gonna spring this shit on me? I need some thinking time god damn." and fucks off. She's got a lot of thinking to do considering her unique position. It's like one of those anime impasses where the main protagonist has a crisis and has to resolve their inner turmoil and decide upon whether they pursue their dreams or destiny or whatever the sod.

Honestly - Xerath, Azir, Nasus and Renekton are all meant to be somewhat divine beings. I'm sure Riot's implied logic is that they'd just magically recognize Shuriman royalty/'important people'.

Actually Sivir saw how Azir ascended and I guess that he probably talked to her before she was like "nah not interested, bye"

Well, Azir somehow recognized her as someone who could potentially be of blood relation.

Either he recognized her as his actual kin or just one of the sands, he just felt in his heart that she must be saved.

How did this event change her life?

if you just got betrayedafter escorting someone in a dungeon, was left to die, your blood somehow summoned another person out of sand, and the dude carries you all the way to a pool of water, saves you, and somehow turns into a golden pigeon...if you DID NOT change in any drastic way, at least from understanding, you are NOT human. Cause I'd be like "THE FUUUUUUUUUUUH!" and question my entire life from that point on.

BTW, some people argue that Sivir was made stupid because she trusted a Noxian even though in her lore it said that Noxians were out for her and she broke off deals because of blah blah blah. To be honest, this could have been the event that made her break ties with them. Just saying.

She is frozen in time.

So are Azir, Nasus, Xerath, Cass and Renek. Thats why we havent heard anything about their conflict since Azir was released.
