Hey guys, just curious and such.
I really enjoy this game (minus the oh so inevitable salt and trolls that come with it) and one of my favourite aspects comes from the lore and champions themselves.
Recently certain lore's have been changing, which is fine. But based on changes going on. I'm curious now about 2 things
1: Does the institution of War actually exist?
And
2: If not, what is the League of Legends then?
No the Institute of War doesn't exist.
There is no such thing as the League of Legends in the lore itself.
The name "League of Legends" refers to the fact that the game is essentially a collection of reputable beings from the League universe fighting together and against each other. The way the game plays makes it a literal league of legends.
Nothing about that is canon anymore sadly... Which is a shame since it was the one thing that made LOL's lore unique. Now it's sort of just a generic fantasy setting :/
