why did riot stop making limited edition skins
why did riot stop making limited edition skins
Limited Edition skins played a big role in attracting new players to the playerbase way back when Riot was still expanding using those skins, funding/providing high stakes RP for tourneys, and hitting it off with phenomenal gameplay that was left more to the players than the Rioter's behind the patches. It was more relaxed and easygoing. As of right now the only limited edition skins I know that are continuing are only the Victorious skin line. They have also taken a different approach in attracting new members to their game and stopped funding the player Tournaments (Virtual ones at least) and have visibly pushed their way in through advertisements.
That's how I see it anyway
Because some players thought it was unfair that they could never get access to certain skins and pushed for them to be released. Riot resisted for a bit because other players say the skin as a status symbol, that I bought this (being honest) overpriced skin because I love this champion.
The the anti limits flashes some cash and riot slapped a vintage border on the portraits of the vintage skin owners.
