Could "The Slayer" in Poppys lore possibly be Rengars Mentor, and if possible, the next champion?

First of all, just in case people didn't know, Rengar was trained in the Hunt by a human who was some great hunter, and not by some leonine race. Now, if Poppy is old enough to have seen the founding of Demacia, then it is completely possible that she has seen Rengars Mentor back in his glory days. And if this really is a champ teaser, then good times! People have been asking for someone older as a champion for a while.

The Slayer is Poppy, she is just oblivious of her own deeds.

I think it was inferred that SHE was the hunter, just that people were aggrandizing the appearance of the hunter (since perhaps no one in that culture would believe a small Yordle did all of those things). The young child recognized her as the hunter however.

"The Slayer" is Poppy, she just didn't realize it because the statue-maker made some... alterations to her image, to fit with Demacian ideals.

Rengar's "father" was bound to have lived and died in kumungu. I'm just gonna take a wild guess and say that Demacia is nowhere near kumungu based on their climate alone (note the lack of description of tropical rainforests).

The statue is of Poppy, but it's more of an in universe artist's interpretation based on word of mouth from other people.

Seems like not only Poppy was oblivious of Poppy's deeds.
