Every one of her lines is basically her just finding different ways to say "Ima kill you now." As someone with a PBE account I can say that this is reflected in game by the fact that she is gonna kill you now.

It's also completely countered by Alistar, Janna, Tristana, Jayce, basically anyone with a knockback of considerable distance.

That's not to say it's not awesome as hell, but I can see the counterplay already.

Yeah, when you ult Tristana, only to immediately get knocked out of the zone by her ult. Sad times.

I recommend killing their midlaner instead. =)

OR is she a tanky Menace like : Gnar Irelia

Appearance seems to tell she will be squishy, but her passive shield may as well to be just for sustain like it can be for Tankyness like Vi.

You didn't really answer the question really. I would say she is in the more irelia/vi category. You may call them divers but we call them bruisers for that shared synergy of tinity, maybe an extra damage item, into full tank.

Regarding her passive...

If a champ is hybrid, like Corki Jax or sometimes Shaco .....what shield will she get? Is it based off of what damage the target has more of at that particular instance, or is it based off of something else?

Good question! Camille essentially understands every champion's PvP premitigation damage (before resistances) that they've done throughout the entire game, and also understands her own resistances. She combines this information to determine the best shield she should get. So, for example, if Jax has somehow built a lot of AP but is still doing more Physical damage, she will probably get a Physical shield unless she has very high armor. TL;DR Camille gets the best shield to defend her against the champion she hits.

I don't like the sound of that last bit "unless she has very high armor." Makes it sound as if she should stack one resist and health, then her passive will cover the weakness.

Riot Jag gave a more in-depth answer over on Reddit, but the short version is that she adapts her shield based off the type of damage the target has done throughout the game. So she always gets the best kind of shield against the target she hits.

So seeing how there's plans for a Diver class update sometime next year (either midseason or preseason), does Cami represent Riot's modern vision of what a Diver is? You know, similar to how Nasus represented Riot's vision of what a Juggernaut is. I'm just curious to see if Cami is the direction Riot plans to push Divers. Obviously, I doubt she's the ideal Diver. I mean it be pretty bizarre to release a new Diver then push the rest of the class in a different direction.

Divers generally have some ability to "dive" onto the backline and kill a target. They trade the "escape route" Assassins have for some ability to survive once there, which usually manifests itself as some kind of tankiness or sustain.

With all due respect, I'm watching some streams, and her E seems like a powerful enough escape. Likewise I still believe that Talon's escape seems meh, but I could be wrong.

Yeah I was talking about the class as a whole. Each champion within a class can be slightly different from the main strengths/weaknesses of the class though. Pantehon is probably a better example of a pure Diver.

Talons escape is conditional which is something that makes him unique. Camille's E is on cooldown though so if she uses it to dive she has to wait a bit to use it to escape. Talon can immediately get in and then escape if he is near walls that aren't on cooldown.

Part of it is her E is an important part of her fighting ability. It is her only hard cc, as well as a strong tool for outplaying opponents by dodging skillshots, so you don't use it to immediately escape from my person play experience. You use it when going in (Her ult range is terrible so you usually need it to get on their face) and after killing them it is still on cd for a couple seconds so you have to run for a bit before you are in the clear. Think about J4 flag and drag. You use it to go in and during fights, but it isn't up soon enough to immediately re-use it after going in for a kill. You still have to survive for a minute before you can use it again.

That leaves an opening to strike back for the enemies, something assassins don't leave much of. In return you strike more frequently than assassins and are better in extended trades and dueling.

Out of curiosity, is Tryndamere going to be part of the divers update? And if so, do you have any idea about which direction you will be wanting to take him? Since if you're looking to modernize Tryndamere's kit, you probably have to rework him from the ground up.

You have also mentioned in the past that you want there to be a reason to pick different diverse in different situations. Is there a particular reason to pick Camille? Or are you just trying to make the drives feel unique in play style / pattern from one another?

I think she is particularly good at comps that want to protect a hyper carry like Jinx or Kog. Her ability to separate the hyper carry from there team and not allow them to escape is very good against comps that want to crowd around and protect there hypercarry.

Jarvan's ult keeps a carry in place (theoretically) Xin's seperates them from their team

Camille does... both, better than either of them do. If the unique reason to pick Camille is supposed to be her ult, then what reason is there to pick Xin or J4? I realize that those two, especially Xin, are in need of some large-scale work, but why give that identity to Camille when it would have easily fit on one of those two champions?

Is this a sign that those champions won't be defined in the future by their ultimates, or that those champions would lose their current ultimates when reworked?
