Kalista Story/Personality Questions

Sadly one of the few non-ragey Kalista threads recently, but I just had a few questions I hoped someone would/could give their input on despite it being after her AMA. Anyway I'm thinking Kalista is/could be a cool character to write about, but I was curious as to if any of the story people or CertainlyT himself would answer a few questions.

Kalista seems to have mostly lost her original self to the numerous amounts souls she has taken as the price of revenge, but would she only answer calls of those who have been betrayed? How would the subjective nature of betrayal make that work? Like if the targeted party doesn't think they betrayed anyone or if the person who is attempting the summon feels they were betrayed but they really weren't? Would she care enough not to harm the truly innocent? If not what stops from just being high cost hitman?

I'm not just looking for riot feedback, if you are reading this and have an opinion let me hear it. All perspectives are appreciated.

  1. KalistaKalista is blood hungry for betrayers, deceivers, and such. So if one is deemed one via the person who summoned her, she's not gonna care. Someone offered their soul for another.

  2. KalistaKalista has been twisted by the Shadow Isles. So she hungers for souls anyway. I bet she lost sight of who she even wanted revenge on in the first place. She just knows she was betrayed so she feels all betrayers should die(Or share her pain in death more likely)

She's my favorite marksman to play as and one of my favorite characters story wise. I want to know so badly who her betrayer was and what was his connection to her. Keep one thing in mind, when she accepts a soul to avenge, she grows in power every time. She gets the betrayed and the betrayer's soul. So really it's not like she's justice. She's a more sophisticated thresh.

I'm sure she wanted to grow in power at first to get revenge on a certain someone or certain group in the Shadow Isles(hinting they or he is powerful)

She's a pretty complicated fellow. One moment she's herself, the nest she's lady vengeance. The Shadow Isles is her enemy but she can't fight it somtimes

If I remember correct they actually said that Kalista judges the betrayer herself. So i guess that if someone feels betrayed but really wasn't betrayed at all, then Kalista wouldn't react to the call or wouldn't accept the offer.
