My favorites of them are her sexual advances on Braum.
"There are motions I would like to show you" "Finally, a man who won't break" "I know you are strong. I wonder if you have stamina" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Lol, try painting that image in your head
Why bother when I can wait a few weeks for pics to start popping up?

Pics of what?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) you'll see, if you look ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Someone will paint it in real life.

Braum did rescue kid Trundle
I'd imagine it's knowledge gleaned from either Nagakabouros, ancient history kept on Buhru, or teachings of Illaoi's religion. Either way it makes sense a God described as being in everything would know the true nature of the Darkin.
Makes me wonder what the "true name" part means. Perhaps like demons, the Darkin existed differently in the time prior to them interacting with humans.
+1
Btw guys,Illaoi's quote for Rek'sai: "You ugly thing, only fools made you"(or something like that) is more suited towards
Hmmm I wonder what does Illaoi thinks of Shaco Vladimir skarber and such creatures
Worth nothing. Rek'Sai was the first champ beat punchbeef and I worked on together.
So was Rek'Sai: Scourge of the Sands written by you WAAARGHbobo? Or at least primarily written by you? If so then you did a bang up job! If not then whoever did write it did a bang up job!
On another note I suppose the line about Rek'Sai being made is kind of an off handed remark towards Shurima for letting a creature like Rek'Sai continue to exist in the world; they perpetuated her design by allowing this infection to grow so to speak.
Yep, it was. Thank you!
Yep. Well spotted. Many lines have a hidden meaning and a literal meaning.
I try to hide layers when I can
DAMMIT WAAARGHbobo now I'm stuck here wondering about hidden meanings. GAH.
On that note I'm wondering if the Aatrox line is more about Illaoi understanding Aatrox as a being and his motivations. "We know your true name" isn't so much Aatrox having a name he's not telling people (even though that might be a thing), but more of a "We know what you are and what you truly want" kinda deal. I understand you, thus I don't fear you is the vibe I'm getting.
makes others give into bloodlust and feeds off of that (from what I can tell). Illaoi knows his power and knows not to give in.
By "true name" she actually means what his weaknesses are. A name is usually an indicator that you know something and can thus understand and defeat it. If a creature has no name, it becomes much scarier and seemingly unbeatable because you don't know about it.
Illaoi knowing Aatrox's "true name" means that she knows more about him, thus she knows how to combat and resist his power.

I wonder if there will be a battle of Aatrox/Ascendant/Iceborn/Celestial/Tahm kench/Kindred/Anivia vs Illaoi and nagakabourus. Honestly I think all of them can beat Illaoi, but only Aatrox,Bard,Tahm kench and Kibdred can beat nagakabourus
There is a quote in aatrox's ultimate (when you reverse it you hear the words)
And you can make him out saying "I will lead the freljord"

Seen this video and even started my own thread long time go. Cant hear "i will lead the freljord" but its the reverse of some of his quotes
you cruriously left out targon unless you emant them as the celstain to which i think soraka
Well in Latin Aatrox means "Cruel, Savage, Atrocity" which is why they named him such.
Hes viewed as like a divine and good creature by those he inspires but then when he leaves people realised the brutality they had commited.
She is saying that she doesn't fall for his facade and sees the dark creature he is.
I think you meant "worth noting", not "worth nothing" =P
Im pretty sure that Aatrox is his true name... in other hand, that quote would more sense towards
I actually tested it on the pbe myself as part of a two person team to figure out where all those lines went, and that line is indeed for Aatrox. Illaoi has no other taunts for him and Tahm has his own specific ones.
Makes me curious...

Oh thanks for testing... by the way.... "Why would I need a spirit's help? I am guided by Nagakabouros." is a taunt for the yordles?
... because, i dont get it.
Apparently. That one weirded me out too. I'm tempted to go back and double check it because I had half a mind that one was for Udyr.
EDIT: Went and double checked and it checks out - a line for Yordles.

Aatrox could just be the name he goes by currently. It's possible that he's changed his name or finds no real reason to remember names. His remembered by his actions, which become shrouded in myth.
Actually this somewhat bothers me about Aatrox. Where does he go when there are no wars? His presence is shrouded in myth, which means that he's not someone you'll see often. But look at him, he sticks out like a sore thumb. Does he have an ability to change his appearance?
May be similar place from where Soraka and Bard come from.

My most wanted theory is wtf is
and when Riot will finish rewriting his lore,as stated in the start of SEASON FICKING 4
Personally I really want to see Jax fight Aatrox. Jax is suppose to be this beyond legendary warrior (though he's also a nameless mercenary, which I also like) and Aatrox is someone who thrives with war, with fighting. He could see Jax as one of the ultimate challenges. Heck he should be itching to fight Jax.
One thing that I'd find interesting is if Jax was someone whose presence ended confrontation. Aatrox shows up to help the losing side, but he prolongs the conflict until it has run its course. Jax shows up and ends it.
I don't know. Really I'm just spitballing. Before the retcon I had a headcannon where Jax was an agent of the IoW (Maybe even the grand summoner) secretly working to keep things working. I had a story idea involving the void invading (which starts with Cho'gath deciding his bored with the league now and breaks out) which leads Jax and a bunch of other IoW champions tasked to not only stopping the void, but uniting every faction they can to fight them.
I'm rambling at this point. I do hope they make Jax an ancient warrior when they write the new lore. An immortal warrior that travels the world, remembered and forgotten over the course of a thousand years, and turning the tides of battles? Jax and Aatrox can fit this concept well.
Sorry to say it, but Jax was an "unremarkable soldier-for-hire" before joining the League. He wasn't special, and was only powerful because he was against champions like Annie and Blitzcrank who were very much plausible to beat. Aatrox, however, is essentially a god of war. He thrives on conflict, and his existence revolves around it. Jax would stand no chance.
Being an unremarkable warrior for hire doesn't he was bad at combat. He could have been bad at following orders (which given his ego is plausible). Plus Master Yi was a champion during that time as well.
New champions aren't automatically stronger than previous ones. Illaoi isn't lore wise stronger than Kindred.
Plus we're talking about a lore retcon. For all we know, The Darkin aren't a thing, Annie's parents are no longer from Noxus, TF never dated Eve, and Jax could be an immortal figure that really gets noticed every few centuries before disappearing again.
Jax doesn't show that kind of ancient wisdom or age through his speech, though. He's arrogant, rash, and overall a jerk (kind of). Figures like Aatrox, Anivia, Lissandra, Azir, Zilean, Nasus, and Maokai are all refined in their speech and choose their words carefully. If Jax was ancient, he would know better and wouldn't be all "come at me bro" in true Brolaf fashion.
Although, Renekton is an exception to that rule, but he's kind of insane, so there's that.
How old was Wukong before he might Master Yi? Plus if we look at the original Wukong (The Monkey king which our Wukong is based on) he was an ancient before he went on a quest to gain wisdom.
How old was Wukong before he might Master Yi?
Well, let's see...
Kong was driven by an unquenchable desire for greatness. He sought out every beast and monster the Plague Jungles could offer, eager to find a worthy opponent, but none offered the challenge he craved. He asked the sage for advice, and learned about a legend of hairless monkeys to the north who, with wits and might, had bent the world to their will.
It doesn't seem like it took him long to exhaust the jungle of its wonders, so he simply left. Additionally, the sage was still alive (and old) from when Wukong was created, so it would seem that it wasn't long, seeing as how short monkeys live.
Doesn't account for the character in "A journey to the west"
You have to remember they base their champions loosely off real figures, not have their exact same story.
I mean, you don't see Vayne riding a batmobile.
That's not why I am referring to that story. I'm referring to it because being ancient doesn't exactly make you wise. Especially if all you've done in your long live is screw around.
I mean, Wukong isn't considered ancient by anyone. However, battle makes ancient figures wise and regretful. Kayle is wise, and while she shares Jax's arrogance she is self-conscious and guilty of her actions. Thus, she hides her face so that she feels a disconnection between herself and her opponent.
Jax just wears a mask because why the hell not.
Ok, when I say Wukong, I don't mean
. I mean Sun Goku from journey to the west.
Well, we're talking about Runeterra lore. Writers each have their own way of defining concepts, and Riot has shown that their "ancient" characters are either wiser than most, or just simply gone mad with power.
Doesn't mean they can't expand on the archetype.
No Aatrox fits this lore, Jax is just a random.
You're missing a big part of Aatrox. Aatrox doesn't just live in war, he creates them.
His lore clearly expresses that. He loves creating discord and conflict and fucking people's mind up to a point where they lust for violence and war.
Aatrox wanders around the world, probably flies around the world or has a secret Darkin homebase to go back to in the short intervals of conflicts that he's participating in or is creating.
Maybe hes got a floating dark palace in the sky.
The trivia on his wiki page suggests that he might be able to. The Justicar skin resembles what some people remember him as: a hero
