TBakes1 votesIt reminds me of the Direwolves' perspectives in ASoIaF. It definitely gets across that they have a totally different worldview. It is very geo-centric and collectivist. I find it interesting he tried to sing his song to them but they do not hear it. I wonder what that entails?
Smithney2 votesPersonally, I don't think he actually speaks like this. It seems to me that the aglutinated words are supposed to be translations of words that do not exist in our language.
Consider this: If you were to translate a term that has no equal in your language without resorting to dependent clauses, wouldn't you create neologisms as well? And while at it, wouldn't aglutination be the easiest way to you?

Doesn't exactly excuse them but I feel like there's at least a few people who'd find it reprehensible to use the stones if they knew of their true nature.

Seriously though. We could need Skarner interacting in less lethal ways with humans. He's not only physically imposing but him sharing a deep connection with the very earth while also having an insanely powerful namesong makes him possibly one of the wisest creatures around.
Sharjo1 votesPotentially one of the most ancient too; a thousand spins to three turns in comparing the time that Brackern and humans have been around on Runeterra. I mean that's hard to make estimates about but that sounds like hundreds of thousands of years of difference. To have the memories and experiences from thousands of years is quite the thing, and unlike our Ascended champions that's something Skarner's actually built for; humans were never built to handle to have eternity, but the Brackern are.

I wonder if his true origins are a mixture of the first and second stories? His death was mourned by those close, but celebrated by the general populace if we consider the temple carvings. Perhaps he was a boy who suffered an illness that people believed a sign of omen, that it was punishment for a sin an ancestor had done to the people.
Whatever the case, I loved the old man's tale. Could he be making up a story to entertain children, or could he be telling the truth? It is a harsh land, one losing an arm in a raid doesn't seem uncommon. But if he did lose it from , then it shows that the touch isn't 100% lethal, probably something to do with the duration of touch.
's was probably my favorite because it showcased Skarner misunderstanding the way other races work. He tried to communicate with humans like he would with his kind, not realizing that despite his best efforts for peaceful resolution, he is to blame for their violence (not for them stealing though).
It shows that Skarner is a good or reasonable being, but the language barrier is what prevents it from showing to others. I wonder how he'd react if he met a human who could understand him? Or anyone that isn't of his kind.

I mean the first story fits amumus character and general behavior a lot. The second one gets some support from the color text and fits his tantrum skill. And ok,the last one simply seems to be a reference to his old lore.
