Discussion about Zilean's future-past in Valoran

Insert Back to the Future-reference here.

How do you think Zileans story should be handled when it's his turn for some work?

The latest reference to him is Vel'Koz lore-piece.

Because of the technological themes for his time-magics and gadgets, I think they could reasonably use him to flesh out Piltovers history; the forefather to the city, if you will, or just an occasional time-travelling visitor. Either way he would be at home there after leaving the tower. His influence could rationalize the unusually futuristic faction.

His Urtristan tower will probably stay, but it would make sense to include it into a Shuriman or Icathian context given its location. The events leading up to his tragic circumstances could have taken place in an ancient Shuriman dynasty. I'm not sure how Shurima and Icathia will be connected, it's possible Zilean's re-release will explore that.

There, between Shurima/Icathia and Piltover, you would have some backstory to guide the aesthetics of his VU.

What's your thoughts on the matter?

Yeah given Vel'kozs lore I think it is sure that his tower will stay, however they might change the summoner knights that destroyed urtistan to the magelords who are mentioned in aatroxs lore(their names sound rather similar, when aatrox was originally released I thought they were the same)

I think Zilean would fit quite nicely into piltover, but I doubt he has much history with them since piltover is quite far away from urtistan(unless that gets changed)

Zilean should be part of Targon IMO.

There's already known worship of the moon and the sun in that kingdom, day-and-night; the circular flow of time... it wouldn't be far-fetched for him to have some ties to Targon considering their customs. There are so many applications to time as a theme too - I only wish Riot does it justice and give Zilean an appropriately empowering re-introduction into the lore.
