A champion who is a teacher sounds interesting. Any other champions fulfill that role? I don't think Yi does because he isn't mainly a teacher, rather he took on a pupil with no intention to do so beforehand.

A Superb Villain3 votesI am not sure if she is a teacher per se, as she sounds extremely confrontational, if the quote is an accurate translation. Mentor or instructor sounds more appropriate, even if teaching is her primary objective; teach by example sort of thing.

Riot likes to make women sexy, and its hard to make a women look sexy AND badass. I think the most badass women of all those is Vi, Fiora and maybe jinx.
If its a women, chances are its not gonna be as badass as it is gonna be sexy.
However from the voice, I think we will be getting a strong (maybe big and buff) women.
With a guy, when they try to make a guy sexy for women, all they have to do is make him buff, which basically equals big muscles which makes him look badass.

I personally think an extremely cool-headed, emotionless killer would be more fit, rather than "Punch first, ask questions while punching".Someone like Lucy( form the movie Lucy) for example. Personal opinnion.
A Superb Villain21 votesTechnically, Kindred is male and female, being a duo of characters, though Wolf is more of an ancillary personality, so that discrepancy can be forgiven. Still, League is predominately male, so a new female, especially one that sounds seriously bad ass, is welcome.

Although i don't really think there is room for a new champion in the Solari tribe lore... maybe the rakkor? Probably not.

I don't really have anything to go on in saying she might be Rakkor, except their Spartan-like warrior culture. Some people are saying the name sounds Ionian.
A Liberal1 votesI agree about Ionia, that was my first reaction the name. I would place my bets on it being an Ionian champion since the last one we had was Yasuo, and Ionia is pretty lacking in lore.
I hope its Mt. Targon though because Ionian champs are really generic IMO.

Recently we've been getting some really creative champions in terms of artistic style and story, it will be a shame if we get "Female Samurai"

SoMNia2 votesWell, considering Ionia is basically fake Japan, their champions are going to reflect that influence. Samurai, ninja, monks, kitsune, mystical warriors, and the like. Don't forget Karma, who is basically a Daoshi.
The champion select quote we have strongly suggests this new champion uses either fists or a blunt weapon, not a sword. Real samurai used a variety of weapons, but pop culture ones use swords. I have to say, though, I wouldn't argue with a kanabo-wielding one, if that were to happen. Maybe she could have armor-crushing abilities. Broken bones as lessons really reads "Spartan", to me, though, so I'm still leaning towards Rakkor.
By the way, Xin Zhao is Demacian and a former Zaun gladiator slave. I suppose he could have originally been from Ionia, but he's not talking, so there's no telling.

Jeddy0173 votesMaybe it will be like Ekko.A few of his champ select quotes were released to the PBE during the 5.9 PBE cycle.Then he was reveal & added to the PBE for the 5.10 PBE cycle.If we think about it that way,then it's possible the new champ is coming to the PBE in the 5.22 PBE cycle,which should be starting next week assuming we're on the usual 2 week cycle. It's also possible Illaoi may have a preview released at the Worlds Semifinals like Ekko.
