From what we've had so far, Nocturne may end up becoming the embodiment of nightmares that people tell children to keep them up at night. Kinda like how every champion so far has been some myth which I kinda dislike. Will Nocturne become another myth, or will it end up with him actually being a part of this world. There are no summoners to bring him in, but I really do like his concept of a nightmare come to reality, and I want it to stay that way.
A few recent champs have been myths, but definitely not all of them. Rito said that this was kind of "The Year of the Myth" when it comes to new champions. More champions that like a lot of people know of and know where they are and stuff will be coming. Idk what they will do with Nocturne, but their champion update team has really been on point recently
The way you phrase it makes it sound like bard,kindred and tahms were only myths and not real,but even though they exist differently,but are still a real part of the world.
Anyway I think it would make sense for Nocturne to be a demon or something mystical,because he was pretty much that in the old lore as well.

Actually, according to his ask.fm, Nocturne's lore is one of Ghostcrawler's pet peeves. Doesn't mean he'll be retconed soon, but he's on their radar at least. I assume he'll get an updated story once they decide where he belongs + they have some kind of event-ish thing for that group/place.
At one point in time shortly after the retcon Riot said they were looking at him, but kind of havign trouble since they were unsure of where to put him. Similar issue with Fiddlesticks too. There was some talk about making them be Shadow Isles champions but I think it was Ghostcrawler that said they want to avoid making the Isles the big spooky champ depot and instead make it a little more unique and have darker/scarier champs come from other places/backgrounds too.
